Football aside, it's shaping up to be a good week for RU athletics, with women's soccer in the Top 10, men's soccer at #21, and now the wrestling team at #18 in the preseason poll. The B1G not only had 9 ranked teams, but had four of those inside the top 5.
Didn't Ohio State win the national championship in wrestling last season? Or was it just the B1G tournament that they won? I see that Mizzou was undefeated and finished ranked #1. But they complete in the MAC? What's up with that? Doesn't the SEC have wrestling?

your prob right but im not so sure even with a easy made weight class to wrestle we would have ever seen the Camp we all new. Who would have thought his freshman year at Ohio was his peek. Just another NJ high school stud not reaching his potential on the mat. im sure it wont be the last either. Glad he is still in school as well.Maybe Camp should have accepted Schiano's football schollie offer after all. He could have gained the weight and strength needed to be a great linebacker, and never have to worry about cutting weight again. Not having a 220 pound weight class in college, like they do in HS impacted Camp greatly.
Burnout happens & not just NJ wrestlers. There is no more grueling sport than wrestling, especially with cutting weight. Hopefully, his academics are in order, he graduates & is productive & stays out of trouble.your prob right but im not so sure even with a easy made weight class to wrestle we would have ever seen the Camp we all new.
