Near the end of the briefing today (4/16) Trump complimented the 'great university' for their work on the new virus test.
I heard that, too! Something along the lines of "Rutgers - great college, great school, great university". Context was talking about the new COVID-19 test that RU recently developed that provides results within 15 minutes.
You cannot get any better publicity than having the President of this great country dropping huge praise on your school for developing cutting edge tech during a global pandemic.

RU would be wise to use that in a commercial or advertising but I doubt they will because he's not a leftist.
We know we are one of the Top 50 universities in the world. GREAT to hear President Trump give us praise to the entire country !!!

We have a once in a generation pandemic ( far more important than sports) and the president of the US is giving a sincere shout out to this great university and the important roll it is contributing to the solution and some so called RU fans cant even take a breath and show some pride. Hate is a very dangerous.
Years from now people will look back at folks like you and wonder what on God's earth they were thinking.

Lets be honest, its great he called us out. But it 'd be better if someone more respected said it. So many people hold him in such low regard it takes a lot of the good away from the moment.
Let's face it, this is someone who insults you one day and sucks up to you the next. Then hates you 2 days later. (See Kim Jong dumbasss) Or Gordon Sondlon. Or China.
He's just a bizarre dude who's opinions don't mean a lot. When he speaks the world usually just rolls their eyes and laughs under their breath.
He is the president like it or not. Many people feel he is doing a great job and in times like this his words are very very important - talking about this great school is such positive light at such a critical time for the nation is awesome for the university. Sorry you cant understand that.
And except for you and a few other bozos here he is despised by the university and is an embarrassment to most students with a brain and a soul.
