How is the pinstripe more prestigious to pick in front of Vegas? Bronx or Vegas? Hmmm
I don’t know, ask the conference.
Higher payout than either if that’s a factor.

Thanks. I guess so. But the Bronx is just no picnic. I’m old school, a bowl should be to good weather or an exciting city with a dome. Pinstripe seems like a punishment.I don’t know, ask the conference.

I agree except I believe that ND is contractually obligated to be part of the ACC bowl tie ins. So how many bowls are left. Pinstripe might be their only alternativeND to the Pinstripe Bowl doesn’t make sense. They are 9-3 and will get a much better bowl than that.
It is. A punishment for not having a decent passing game.Thanks. I guess so. But the Bronx is just no picnic. I’m old school, a bowl should be to good weather or an exciting city with a dome. Pinstripe seems like a punishment.

Spot on.Thanks. I guess so. But the Bronx is just no picnic. I’m old school, a bowl should be to good weather or an exciting city with a dome. Pinstripe seems like a punishment.
Very possibly true.ACC owes ND nothing. Probably want to make their actual members happy before ND.
47,122 Notre Dame 29 Rutgers 16 December 28, 2013I believe the highest attendance for Pinstripe was RU- ND at 47k. Might this one break it?
The B1G conference divides bowl money equally among all teamsLas Vegas bowl payout is $2.9M. Pinstripe is $4.4M. Edit — these were 2022 numbers. Expect same relative difference this year.
What events?I know it’s played in the Bronx, but most events are held in nyc. To those of us not from here, it’s a great holiday destination
The B1G conference divides bowl money equally among all teams
Payouts mean nothing.
Does the ACC as well. The B1G conference divides bowl money equally among all teams
Payouts mean nothing.
It does to ND. They don't have to share with anybody. The B1G conference divides bowl money equally among all teams

But that only applies to bowls played in China.Yes but payouts are used as the Peking order, I believe
Not according to Al. We have a QB. lolIt is. A punishment for not having a decent passing game.
Lo mein ? Egg rolls ? what are you talking about ?Yes but payouts are used as the Peking order, I believe
Vegas picked in front of Pinstripe. So ironically, it was Northwestern’s win over Illinois, not the RU loss to Maryland that kept RU out of Vegas
I am not saying you are wrong but if they are part of the ACC tie in package I find it hard to believe that the ACC just lets ND walk away with all the money from one of their bowl games. It does to ND. They don't have to share with anybody.
Maybe he opts outHartman again ? No thank you.
Punishment for not having a Fieldhouse I think you meanNot according to Al. We have a QB. lol

I think it was the same deal as when Notre Dame could steal a Big East bid. Only difference now is that they have to play 5 ACC games.I am not saying you are wrong but if they are part of the ACC tie in package I find it hard to believe that the ACC just lets ND walk away with all the money from one of their bowl games.
Oh, i thought you are at a Chinese restaurant and your phone ….Haha damn auto correct. Someone asked why pinstripe picks ahead of Vegas. It’s cause pinstripe is dishing out more money, hence the get to pick before them
You’re wrong. Vegas picks first (bottom of page 2 on chart)Haha damn auto correct. Someone asked why pinstripe picks ahead of Vegas. It’s cause pinstripe is dishing out more money, hence the get to pick before them
Pinstripe selects before Guaranteed Rate. There was no chance that we were going to slide past the Pinstripe. That had been established for some time. The question was whether a bowl would pick us before the Pinstripe had the chance. Answer is no.Rutgers was available? Kansas would have been a fun test.

6-6 RU would have been picked over a 6-6 Northwestern, with head to head win.
So ND is either going Sun or Pinstripe based on that.
Good question. Thought the same thing when I read it.Why can’t ND go to any of those 3 bowls??
Notre dame again in the pinstink …. That would stinkSo ND is either going Sun or Pinstripe based on that.
