As a Rutgers football fan, you know you're old when.....

You could go out for a couple beers at halftime and come back into the game.

... you remember that when you were a student at RU, every Rutgers home football game kicked off at 1:00 on Saturday
Umm...now we are mostly 12 noon...not much difference

Edit: last year was better but we have been doing TAYLOR HAM, egg and cheese for what seems like forever.
PA native Scott Erney led Rutgers to a win in State College PA, 21-16. Dick Anderson’s graduate assistant defensive backfield coach Greg Schiano was on the sideline.
Yeah, we got that win but he was a little self righteous prick on campus...at least the one interaction I had with him.

.....I tailgate and listen to a certain DJ speak of his heyday revelry in the marching band.

You were lucky to find a game on New Jersey Public Broadcasting

and for football that was always on tape delay

Sunday mornings with *Pat Scanlon on the play by for NJN along with Mike Mayock as the sideline reporter
And you watched the NJN sign off video (🎵New Jersey...🎼) just so you could see the clip of a Rutgers pass TD.

* Very nice guy. An outsider who really wanted Rutgers to do well.

When you were at the Princeton game where the fans tore down not only both goal posts on the but the nearby practice goal posts so Princeton couldn’t kick the game winning xpoint. Game ended 6-6.
