And the Cheyney St "jersey" she wore was that of Yolanda Laney...mother to RU legend Betnijah.

Yolanda Laney is a fascinating person. She currently is the Chief Municipal Public Defender in Atlantic City. Played for CVS at Cheney, and of course our Betnijah's mom who has trained her daughter in her spare time. Betnijah is a super star with the NY Liberty in the WNBA now.
Yolanda Laney led Cheyney to its first NCAA Women's Championship game in 1982 where the team lost 76-62 to Louisiana Tech University.
