I don't specifically go out of my way to root for ex-players, heck, Arizona has so many of them, a few not missed as much as others. Thankfully not so much this year.

But Fairfield is an interesting case. Horribly weak conference, of course - but a head coach that is believed to be on a fast track to a big future - a well respected women's basketball writer suggested that she would make a good "outside the box" consideration to succeed Geno when the day comes. While that might not be so likely. So, in the abstract, this is a good portal pick-up for them.
