Doubling Carr at the end of the game was genius. Their only offense down the stretch is him jacking up shots.
Harper was missing most of the game, made 3 critical free throws and a huge rebound, that’s how you win it!

brutal immaturity by Carr and Minnesota, I know no timeouts but this was something you would see from a bad RU team in the 90s

Who are you going to play though. Our starters can play tough d at the end because they aren’t gassed. You need to put the subs in and hold your nose at this point.

That was huge but hitting our FT's and Geo coming up big after throwing it away was just as big too.
To me - the team fighting through that bad bounce, sloppy game, to come back with a Geo clutch jump shot, Harper clutch FTs, and a clutch RU defensive stand is huge for the mentality and momentum of the team.
Well...beat Northwestern and Nebraska and we’re in. Road to the tourney just got a lot more direct
So I’m eating crow. But we did not play our best and Pike is lucky that his inane substitutions and questionable double teams didn’t hurt us in the end
That win may have put us into tournament. Losing would have made it a whole lot more difficult

I think we need 3 more. Go at least 10-10 and we're in. Personally I see 4 more wins on the schedule.
This. It was definitely a case of "hope to go up big and then hold on when tired" or "limit the bleeding for a couple minutes, then finish strong". Second team is playing weak right now.
Jacob Young was a -10 today in +/-... Worst on the team by far. 6 turnovers in 18 mins. Thank God he didn't see the court in the last 4 mins. Would have cost us the game.
