April/May are the sweet spots for weddings if you are a sports fan, IMO. July/August are too hot and in the middle of Vacation Season in the summer and June has NBA/NHL Finals. My wife and I got married in April after March Madness ended. No summer or sports weekends disrupted. Still together after 26 years.
Choose wisely people.

April is hit or miss weather wise, May is perfect weather wise. May and October historically are the 2 best weather months of the year in this part of the country.Kinda lousy for weather, though.
Just be cool with me opting out and getting you a good wedding present and no harm, no foul.any day or time of year is acceptable to whatever the bride and groom want.
Not yer mother or her mother nor yer grandmother or her grandmother,
Its yer wedding day no one elses but yours
I got married last fall 10/15. It was a beautiful fall day and I made sure my wife to be knew she was not to schedule our wedding A) on a Rutgers home game day Or if possible when Rutgers was playing. She is a keeper, scheduled it on our bye week so me and my entire tailgate crew could enjoy our wedding. A grand time was had by all!How do you feel?
I think I remember an engagement party at a tailgate across from us in the Yellow Lot a couple of years back. Otherwise, unless you’re the one getting married or in the wedding party, send regrets and a generous gift and move on.There is only one acceptable way to get married on a Saturday during college football season. At your tailgate !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Look at Mr. Fancypants here getting married at "The Breakers" in Spring Lake. That's Big $$$.Married on October 14th, 16 years ago. It was a Sunday. Morning wedding (like 10:30). Bar access for 1:00 games. Whole thing was over by like 3:30. Married at the Breakers in Spring Lake.
Not on a Sunday morning where you do your own flowers, table settings etc. Less than 20k when it was all put together. Granted it was 16 years ago. Sunday is significantly cheaper than Saturday in the fall.Look at Mr. Fancypants here getting married at "The Breakers" in Spring Lake. That's Big $$$.
Sounds like a football-friendly Sunday brunch, guest-friendly event. Well done! Not on a Sunday morning where you do your own flowers, table settings etc. Less than 20k when it was all put together. Granted it was 16 years ago. Sunday is significantly cheaper than Saturday in the fall.
It was important to the extended family. I'm a Skins fan so it's never been that important to me, unfortunately. hahaSounds like a football-friendly Sunday brunch, guest-friendly event. Well done!
Weddings are an easy one.
Things like births/baptisms of your own children are the tight calls.
Actually Fall weddings might be more hard to schedule than a traditional June wedding .I feel badly for the traditional June wedding people. With "Pride Month" and now "Juneteenth" that's a lot more pressure on venue availability as well as competing events. Add in the backlog still being worked from CoVid years.. sheesh.. no wonder there seems to be more fall weddings.

It wouldn't be a wedding without some asshat doing something, like telling you the score.DVR the game and make sure no asshat at the wedding tells you what happened. Get home and watch it at your leasure.
Actually Fall weddings might be more hard to schedule than a traditional June wedding .
Add football to this list of holidays and ine will have a hard time to marry and observe the holiday
