Three township police officers are being credited with saving the life of a Rutgers University professor who suffered a stroke alone inside his locked home and was on the floor for several days.

A relative called police about 11 a.m. last Thursday to report no one had heard from the 68-year-old man, who works at the New Brunswick campus, since Sunday.

Let this be a lesson for those who think other people overreact too much. If they didn't "overreact," those two people would be dead.

Interesting that the cops checked the cellphone records to determine he likely was inside. Good work.
