"We look forward to providing our fans, students and alumni a very special and unique double header on November 19th," said Director of Athletics Patrick Hobbs. "Wrestling in the afternoon in front of what we hope will be a record crowd, combined with prime time Rutgers football that night. What could be better that that."

Could be a great way to increase the student knowledge of our wrestling program. Princeton will have a real good team next year so it may be a close one.

More fans need to get out and see our fantastic wrestling team. One match and they will get hooked. Not sure of the the logistics at the stadium but if a great crowd...this will be absolutely wild!

Good luck with the weather. We really lucked out with near ideal weather when Iowa did this last fall. In mid-November, weather can spoil things pretty easily. If it works out, it should be an awesome event.

Unless it was the Michigan State match last year...MSU's kids were practically super glued to the mat. Utterly boring. But yes, typically, one match is all it takes. I took a friend to the Princeton match and they loved it.

Longstanding New Jersey wrestling rivals Rutgers and Princeton will add a new chapter to their history at the first ever “Battle at the Birthplace” on Saturday, Nov. 19 inside High Point Solutions Stadium, announced Monday by Rutgers Athletics. The historic dual-meet event will occur at 11 a.m. prior to Rutgers football versus Penn State in the evening, as the Scarlet Knights look to shatter their total attendance of 17,464 from the 2015-16 season in a single match.

Awesome. Penn State fan living far away in Texas - wish I could come up for that doubleheader.

Best of luck with the weather. Hopefully you get an Indian Summer day - nothing better than those days.

Honestly, you never know what you'll get late October to mid-November here. Sometimes - and trust RU football fans on this one - you can get incredibly nasty, miserable weather, the last week of October, then have games in the mid-to-upper 50's 2 weeks later. If the sun is out, on a 50-degree day, down in the bowl it'll "feel" a lot warmer. Also they will make announcement days ahead, to move into THE RAC, if any inclement weather is expected that day.
