what is Frankie Edgar's connection to RU?

Frankie and Coach Goodale go way back. Both are Ocean County guys. Frankie has been working out at Rutgers ever since SG took over. Frankie was on Rutgers staff in 2008 as an assistant coach.

Frankie is very close with Goodale and Joe Pollard. Steve Rivera (Elite Wrestling) who coaches Frankie is also close to our staff and often at our matches.
Frankie was our official 4th (volunteer) coach before he became big in UFC. See interview:
