    Kansas State series

If we are going to play a non-conference game, we are better off playing a team from Ohio, Florida, or someone on the east coast. There is no recruiting advantage to playing a team from Kansas. I bet we slot in FAU or South Florida as a replacement.

    Kansas State series

That 80 team league is a pipe dream. It was proposed by the Syracuse chancellor and the West Virginia president. Of course THEY want to see an 80 team league. The Big Ten and SEC commissioners have reportedly declined invitations to discuss this. Why would they want to accept less revenue and...

40-1 to win it all next year

It’s too early to predict anything beyond making the tournament. I’m excited as anyone else, but lots of really good teams don’t make it to the Sweet 16, so I wouldn’t say that’s a fair expectation. Just make the tournament as a high seed and don’t lose in the first round. That would be a...

Sporting News Way too early top 25

We will be a legit top 25 team when the official polls come out, it’s just a matter of guessing where we will be - I predict anywhere from 20-24.

OT: Proposal for 80 school football Super League

Of course, the quotes supporting this plan are from Syracuse and West Virginia. I don’t think anyone in the BIG or the SEC really wants this.

Greg Schiano can raise his hands and the Raritan will magically part, allowing commuters to cross from New Brunswick into Piscataway.

When will CBB coaches get together and decide something needs to be done about this portal mess?

The NCAA or conferences could absolutely reign in the transfer portal craziness. It’s the NIL rule that can’t be changed due to the court ruling.

    GG to portal?

I think that Gavin will be a great player if he stays at Rutgers. He started to look the part in the last few games of the season - he just needed time to develop. The problem is that people expect instant results due to the nonsense we have in college sports now, where players have NIL agents...

    OT: St. Pats Day

We started a new tradition by having a baked potato buffet. Basically, we cooked a bunch of baked potatoes and people could put their own toppings on them. They could add corned beef, hot roast beef, bacon, and a bunch of Irish cheeses. Everything was delicious! To me, holidays are all about the...

    College Realignment Attractability Index

Tony Altimore is a USC alum, and he always pumps up the Big Ten and USC, to the point we I think that wants to prove that USC is worthy to be in the conference. He runs all kinds of metrics on his Twitter account comparing colleges all the time. As Mark Twain said, there are lies, damn lies, and...

    OT: Stock and Investment Talk

I don't see the merits of this lawsuit. People are free to buy an Android phone if they want - no one is stopping them. I'm so glad that our government is focusing on this instead of other problems that really threaten our quality of life and public safety.

OT: Clemson files suit against ACC

Remember the scene in Independence Day, when the people on top of the building realized that they were about to get blasted by the alien ship? I imagine that this is what Syracuse fans are feeling right now.

OT: Clemson files suit against ACC

Ironically, BC and Syracuse laughed at us while they left and Joe Pa was publicly advocating for Rutgers to join the Big Ten. It's interesting to think about this now.

OT: "half of college grads are working jobs that don't use their degrees"

I was a psychology major in the 80’s, was accepted to the Rutgers doctoral program, but pivoted at the last minute and went to grad school for the hot new field of Computer Education. I was going to become a software developer, but became a computer teacher, and ultimately, a director of...

Basketball Rutgers Basketball gets dominated by Purdue, losing 96-68

I think that the team tried to hang in there, even though Purdue could not miss from anywhere on the court. I thought that I was watching "Flubber." They look like a Final Four team to me. Let's come back home and get a W against Maryland. Scarlet Jerry

    Finish needed for NIT

Anything can happen in the Tournament (see Purdue, Virginia, Kentucky, etc.). NOT going to the Tournament next year would be a huge disappointment. I would sign up for the Sweet 16 with anything beyond that being gravy. That’s a realistic outlook.

I would like to see Syracuse and UConn in the Big Ten

Al, you have friends who think like you. Check around the seven minute mark of this video. Personally, I think that they are all clueless:

Football Rutgers extends football stadium naming rights deal with SHI per NJ.com

Maryland's Stadium is named SECU. Just sayin' SHI is a reputable NJ tech company. Winning cures everything.
