Nov.18.2006 was the day the dream ended. It ended not with a bang, but with a whimper. The Bearcats declawed us again.

I have the tape.I'm debating whether to watch it again or toss it into the recyclable barrel.

in the grand scheme, I don't think that changed RU's trajectory much. there have been other gut-punch games (or sequence of games) that affected RUs fate....

I wouldn't call that the "worst defeat" ....certainly one of the most gut wrenching.

I would say losing 78-0 on national TV might count as our "worst defeat"

The way I have it figured is that had we beaten Cincy, our game vs WVU would have be on at 3:30.Then,Ito's kick is in much warmer temperatures and makes it through, putting us at 12-0.The 8 PM national game didn't kick in until a few years later.

If we beat Cincy and WVU still loses to USF doesn't matter if his kick is good or not.

...and the loser mentality nature of our fan base that Schiano tried to reverse sadly continues through this day.
