That's not bad. I was hoping for $3 million. That's is $340,000 if spread equally. If you give OC & DC $600k that leaves 250k to 260k for each assistant.very upset with this if it is in fact true.
It was at 2.585 this past year for Flood so barely higher.

Pretty much what I expected a few weeks back. Pick up a coordinator from a P5 school or a HC from a G5 school for $1.5-2M, then pay the staff about $4.5M total. So much for opening the pocketbook.
If Ash is his own DC then this would be an improvement
Thanks for this. Again, if Ash wants certain coaches and it raises the $2.75 to $3 million, the money will be allotted.http://www.nj.com/rutgersfootball/i...for_new_rutgers_footba.html#incart_river_home
confirmed by NJ.COM
The salary pool for the Rutgers assistant coaching staff will be $2.75 million and that pool will be subject to annual salary increases.
That's a fair point - if he handles HC/DC duties, that would allow us to spend more on an OC and other assistants.
Must be true then. It's been posted by multiple reportes on Twitter
No research, they just post and look like fools. So we're spending 35% more on our entire coaching staff than we did last year and have moved from dead last in salaries and into the company of schools we are on par with and people say it was a "cheap" move. UNREAL.
The board is full of a bunch of whiners and weenies.....So we're spending 35% more on our entire coaching staff than we did last year and have moved from dead last in salaries and into the company of schools we are on par with and people say it was a "cheap" move. UNREAL.
^^Should be required reading. For god sake you NEGATIVE NANCY'S, let this play out. If Ash wants a certain OC or DC and other coaches here, he'll get the money. That figure wherever the hell it was gotten from is NOT set in stone. Man, some of you can't help yourselves being Debbie Downers all the time can you?
So are you suggesting we bring in a new coach but handcuff him by requiring he not make any changes? Or are you suggesting we should have kept Flood? I disagree with either point. Here we go. All new staff and systems again this year. All with 8 starters on both O & D coming back. Keep the lights on In the basement another 2-3 years

Staff was 2.4m(less RF)to 2.75 12.72%A major part of that is based on the head coach salary increase..
head coach: 1.2m to 2m (66% increase)
staff: 2.585m to 2.75m staff (6.3% increase)
total: 3.785m to 4.85m (28.1% increase)
Not sure what numbers used to get 35% or if just rounding but its all head coaching.
6.3% is an inflationary increase
Excited about the hire, excited about him assembling a staff.. not a home run increase though.
Kind of like this response? 6.3% increase for staff which is the topic of the thread. Look for one positive quote and call everyone a fool? Very silly behavior.
