2016 Endowment Increase

Rutgers endowment increased from $1.002B to $1.084B from 2015 to 2016...nearly $80M increase. This increase also had RU jump from 95th in the country to 86th. Very nice work fundraising this year and I expect it to continue.

Color me shocked that 80 million can make the University leapfrog 10 schools on that list.

80 million on 1 billion is 8% increase. Average endowment was down 2% while the average spend rate is 4.5%, so on average before contributions endowments were down 6.5%. Most obviously raised money as well but that is a massive difference.
