So we all know that Coach Ash is sitting on his duff not working...not worrying about how to fill out his recruiting class. With the recent decommits, I thought I'd take a look at where we are with recruiting for the Class of 2016 and where we have needs. I'm assuming we have room for up to 25 kids considering the arrests/dismissals from the team. I'm assuming all guys currently committed stay committed.
QB: Russo
RB: Sneed
WR: Mack, Wright, Jabbie, NEED 1
TE: NEED 1
OL: Nick Krimin & Elijah Johnson, NEED 2
DE/DT: NEED 3
LB: Manning, Pollock, Battle
CB/S: Rene, Hayes NEED 2
ATH: NEED 1
K: Barbir
So as it stands, we have 13 commitments. QB, RB, K and LB look like the area of least need. If things fell right, it would look like we could bring in 10 additional players, with the lines and athlete/wide receivers being the biggest areas of need.
How do people think the class fills out?
My wish list would include Kelvin Harmon and Hasise Dubois for the WR & TE roles (I suspect Stewart is gone considering the schools he is looking at), I'm hopeful Ash can get Hewitt back on board, on the OL, I'm guessing Yasir Durant could be brought in (I'd assume Valentin is a long-shot), then probably a few surprises.
