Besides, that’s not what he’s paid to do. You’re moving goalposts as usual. What are UNC’s graduation rates ? Doesn’t matter, Brown’s won as often as GS and got fired.
We are trying to win with less. Our NIL is not competitive, our facilities are not competitive, but our expectations are sky high. Nothing wrong with sky high expectations, but we have to be realistic when the results come in.
You haven’t gone to one game, you haven’t provided $1 in support, yet here you are wondering why we’re not winning when you have no skin in the game. So your “you either win or you don’t edict” means nothing.
I don’t have them at my fingertips, but they are out there. But there are programs out there that don’t care whether kids graduate or not. Our kids graduate because it’s important to our head coach that our kids graduate. You asked what our coach accomplishes S-F. He graduates our kids and develops the kids into the best players they can be with the help of his staff.
8-4 is reasonable but you also have to take into account that winning conference games is difficult. So it’s ridiculous to be disappointed when we don’t win every 50/50 game.
The amount of injuries to key players we've had this year IS ridiculous.

Of course you don’t, because you are typing out your ass. You don’t even understand APR or graduation rate. Tell us AL, what is the rigor ? What are the majors? What’s the grading Adonis AL ? And once more, as you know, he’s paid to win. If the job were to educate and graduate, he wouldn’t have it.
Did Mack Brown emphasize graduating less than GS ?
Take off your blinders, learn what APR actually is, why the metric was created and admit that it’s not what he’s paid for.

So everyone remember: Schiano can do no wrong -- and if he does, it's *our* fault for not coming up with the $85 million it would take to get the fieldhouse under way.
Miami had already won multiple National Championships by the time Schiano got there. Ohio State has been a winning program for almost a century. That's why they were getting 5 ⭐ players. He's not getting those players at RU because they've never won anything.
Schiano has gotten 5 star players to come to RU in his first go-around. He's getting quite a few 4 stars this time around as well.
Of course he did. There’s no way to honestly reconcile UNC firing Brown and RU extending and giving GS a raise based on performance. Truth is, RU’s goal is mediocrity and UNC has much higher standards and expectations.

You’re not the only one with children and grandchildren. Michigan Fans, Penn State Fans, USC Fans, and Ohio State Fans also have children and grandchildren. Yet they prioritize giving to the football program as well, which is why they are successful. Rutgers Football doesn’t have the same priority in our fans lives. Which is why we will be mostly mediocre, though we could have a streak of success, hopefully, if we’re lucky.
The Big Ten was very astute to add us. They knew they could benefit from our market, steal our recruits, and know that Rutgers fans would never provide the support for a team to win a Championship.
The Ohio State football program usually doesn't have any problem landing five-star recruits at the wide receiver position. Brian Hartline does an excellent job of identifying and landing the best talent at that position. He's probably the best recruiter in the country in terms of an assistant coach.
Hartline has done a great job over the years of getting the best receiver talent and developing them into first-round picks. In the 2025 class, he's hoping that Quincy Porter is going to be that guy. Porter is a five-star recruit from Oradell, New Jersey. He is a solid player who will only get better.
Porter has been locked in with the Buckeyes since June. Despite that, other schools have approached him in an attempt to flip him. One of those schools is TTUN. With the sudden influx of NIL money they have, they have been trying to flip multiple recruits. Porter won't be one of them though.
BTW, I pony up for various causes, and Rutgers Football is among them.
He’s got the 5 ⭐️ ‘s at Miami and Ohio State because their football value propositions are much stronger than most anyone else. They sell themselves.
Miami is paradise on earth. Ohio State spares no expense in making sure their student athletes are going to be the best they can be. They have the best football Fieldhouse money can buy.
When you take your visits to these places, you understand that their goal is to win a Championship.
That's why it's 8-4. Shoulda-coulda beat Nebby and UCLA to be 9-3/10-2 even if you won ALL of them.
Next years schedule has OSU, PSU, Oregon, and Iowa, games we will likely lose. We have four games we should win. The success of the season comes down to how we do against Maryland, Minnesota, Illinois, and Washington. So we’ll likely be between 4-8 and 8-4
After losing 4 in a row, many here thought we couldn’t get 2 more wins and players were quitting on him. He did a great job saving the season and could’ve made it magical if it wasn’t for the TO.
the haters were quiet or non existent during those two wins after the losing streak but came out like flies after the loss. they easily outed themselves lol
The difference is Miami and OSU built their programs to be blue blood winning programs that recruits throughout the country flocked there no matter who was the coach
I love you Al but we beat two teams all year with a winning record and one of those two teams barely have a winning record. Greg’s Super Bowl was Illinois game and we know how that turned out
Come on. From 2015 to 2022, we were a losing program. Not only did we lose, we mostly got killed, especially by Maryland. Before we can run, we have to walk. Another bowl season is a good season. Sure it’s not as good as if we had beaten Illinois, but it’s much better than where we’ve been the past 9 years. The Illinois game was an opportunity we blew. That’s all it was. We’re bringing in an outstanding class, perhaps our best ever. As we continue to build the talent base,
we will have a better seizing future Illinois opportunities.

That’s true for Ohio State and Michigan, not so much for Miami, which had modest success up until the 80’s, till the hired Howard Schnellenburger, who established a culture of winning, and convinced alumni to support the program adequately. Miami hasn’t done Jack since 2003, so it’s not true that refruits flock there regardless of the coach. They are flocking there to win a National Championship with Mario Cristobal, who already has a Rose Bowl to his credit.

Al doubling--tripling--down on "it's YOUR fault because you haven't given the guy enough money." I've heard this excuse for years and years--we have less money than EVERYONE--when in reality our spending is often somewhere in the middle and programs with far fewer resources do better. I was hearing it long before NIL when the university was spending tens of millions on facility upgrades, when Cincinnati hired Brian Kelly and he destroyed Schiano year after year at a city university. How much money do you think Boise State has to play with? The fact that we are often competitive in games we nonetheless lose means we aren't lacking especially in talent; we're lacking a coach who can close the deal. He's still trying to win with an outdated model.
After watching the Wisconsin-Iowa game last night, I'm not ready to characterize next season's RU-Iowa matchup as a sure win for the Hawkeyes.
So, reading between the lines Adonis AL….no matter what, he’ll deserve another raise and extension.
Football is a religion in Ohio. It's not a religion in NJ. All those 5 star in state recruits Ohio State is getting have dreamed of playing at Ohio State since they were children. All those elite recruits from outside of Ohio are well aware of all the NFL first round draft picks coming out of Ohio State. The contributions are the result of production on the field. Not the other way around.
To paraphrase Mike Tyson, every recruit is a superstar until they get punched in the mouth.
