Imagine being SMU:
Liberty beats you out by one spot for a New Year’s six game and you end up going to Fenway to play Boston College
They kept Memphis at home. Smart move. Them versus Iowa State. The stadium will be absolutely packed. The AAC gets crappy bowls. I am surprised, though, that SMU didn’t get the Liberty.
The downside is Miami has limited support from their fans traveling. They barely show up in Miami. Should be plenty of Seats availableThey kept Memphis at home. Smart move. Them versus Iowa State. The stadium will be absolutely packed.
Would be niceGS 2.0 tour of beating former Big East foes continues. Cuse, BC, VaTech, and now Miami.
Was talking about that to a few people. 75% of their fans who show up will not have gone to school there and probably have never stepped foot in the state of Florida. Total front runner crowd. I went to see them play Wisconsin in 2018 and their fan support was awful. The downside is Miami has limited support from their fans traveling. They barely show up in Miami. ...this is when some posters here were wondering if we were better off in the AAC when Temple won it in 2016 I honestly couldn't believe they would even pose the question (that year TU went to the same bowl they did when they finished 8-4 in the MAC in '09). For all the complaining about the Pinstripe Bowl, the Fenway Bowl could be arguably worse. The AAC gets crappy bowls. I am surprised, though, that SMU didn’t get the Liberty.
