Following Twitter....I was not seeing a lot of 2024 Linebackers being Offered or Committing.....that was what I "thought" I was seeing.....but being a numbers geek.....I wanted data
Here is what I got:
Typically Schools will offer 1 kid per each position
So 22 positions on the field.....usually 2 to 3 Linebackers
So lets assume 2.5 Linebackers on Average per Recruiting Class
Rivals Database Lists: 116 Colleges for Football
Committed 2024 Linebackers: 144 Committed 2024 Linebackers
Average per Team: 1.2 Average
Teams with ZERO Linebackers Committed: 29 Teams with ZERO Linebackers Committed
Percentage of Teams with Zero Linebackers Committed: 25%
This data is based on numbers on July 18th 2023

Obviously....this has a trickle down effect on FCS/D1AA.....which is probably where Nick projects at the moment
