Football 2025 Rutgers Football / NFL Draft and Free Agency Tracker

And that wasn’t long ago. Back in 2010- it was capped at $20k for any individual player.
Wonder when that changed.
In the 2020 CBA, UDFA Bonus Pool was increased to $160k in '21. It was around $175k in '23. That's all I found. There's also some kind of salary guarantee but that's later on.

Guess I'll have to go back to watching the Bears again! Congrats KM!

HP has proved that he can prove doubters wrong. Love that about him.
This next step is going to be the hardest thing he has ever done and I am looking forward to watching him do it.

My concern for him is that his size alone could make it very difficult but he can make up for some things by just becoming nasty.
He needs to play every practice snap and drill like he wants to destroy anyone in front of him.

Was really hoping the Steelers took him late rounds or scooped him up as an UDFA. I know the Steelers site I frequent was pretty high on him and tackle depth is a big need for them. Oh well. Congrats HP.

Me too!

I was a Bears fan when Iwas inn H.S. Remember listening. To the radio when they beat the skins 73-0. Lots of teams switched to the tee
how great is this.. a first-hand memory of NFL teams switching to the T-formation full backfields... from what? Some single-wing thing? Wide Receiver? What's a wide receiver? You mean some player totally dedicated to pass catching? That's crazy!

Can you play that way in pass pro?

The scheme or down or situation never matters- as an OL- you have to play with a chip on your shoulder at all times. And you play through the whistle. These NFL defenders are no joke and the first time they think you show anything but strength, they jump all over you

I think it may have been Kevin's first start at LT for the Chargers. They were playing at Pitt. On the first play, ran up the middle with MJD. In the pile- Polamalu grabs his facemask and pulls his face down into the turf- "welcome to the big boys" But as the pile was getting up- Kevin puts his full weight on back of Troy's helmet and pushes it into the turf himself. They jump up out of that pile and Polamalu gives him a tap and a smile as to say that he respected Kevin not being a "bitch"...

Former Rutgers QB Cole Snyder invited to Lions Rookie Mini Camp:

This is a really get write up on Cole Snyder.

The Lions currently have three quarterbacks on their roster in Jared Goff, Kyle Allen and Hendon Hooker, a 2023 draft pick out of the University of Tennessee. Jake Fromm, who spent last season on the Lions practice squad, was cut Wednesday.

Two weeks before Eastern Michigan’s pro day, Snyder returned to Ypsilanti and continued working out at the Eagles facilities.

“The Lions were at our pro day and they invited me to the local day — basically a tryout for kids who graduate nearby or went to high school nearby. They got another look at me, we threw individual drills, worked on a whiteboard and watched some film,” Snyder said. “That went really well. That’s probably a big reason why they ended up giving me another phone call.”

The Indianapolis Colts and Minnesota Vikings were also interested in Snyder leading up to the draft, according to his agent, John Perez, who is based out of New Jersey. Snyder said he also has an opportunity in the Canadian Football League.

Fran Duffy of PHLY (who does an excellent job with draft coverage) had a write up of all the Eagle UDFAs, here, https://allphly.com/eagles-nfl-drafted-undrafted-rookies-breakdown/ . It's pay walled, but here's the blurb on Pierce:

HOLLIN PIERCE – T – RUTGERS

“MAKE IT” TRAIT: SHEER SIZE PROFILE

Pierce is a LARGE human being at 6-foot-8, 341 pounds with outrageous 36-inch arms. His wingspan is longer than any tackle drafted in the last ten years. A local product from Trenton, New Jersey, the four-year starter caught my eye at the Shrine Bowl with his frame, but he really piqued my interest as the week went on. When you see a guy that big you expect a bit of a slug, athletically, but I thought he was pretty impressive in one-on-one drills. I put a pin in his evaluation as a player to come back to later. Fast forward a few weeks to the Combine, and – again – I was impressed! I thought he had a solid positional workout there in Indianapolis. Does it always look pretty? Nope! Does he consistently get the job done in pass pro? Yep. He struggles to play low in the run game, and there are definitely things to clean up there, but I’m surprised this kid didn’t get drafted. He’s started at both left and right tackle. He didn’t start playing football until his junior year of high school. Anyone that I’ve talked with that has met with him has spoken highly of him. He’s a player I’m willing to bet makes the practice squad, he’s just going to have an uphill battle since the team drafted two offensive tackles ahead of him last weekend.

In addition here's a discussion about him on the PHLY Eagles podcast, although it's mostly the same conversation as above.
