FB Recruiting 2026 Four-Star South Carolina RB Jaylen McGill commits to Rutgers Football

PSU as an institution made the commitment to big time football in the 1960s. They provided the financial resources which resulted in consistent winning. The winning over decades has created the strong fan support. RU as an institution did not make the investments necessary, they gave it lip service only. It’s been an uphill fight once RU decided to go to big time football. No established winning legacy has resulted in a less committed fan base.
Rutgers has done everything it could to build a winning football program. In 2001, we were a basket case. Since then, we’ve spent significantly to make football success happen.

Rutgers spent $100M+ to expand the stadium in 2008
$14M to expand Hale Center in 2004
$5M for the recruiting pavilion in Rutgers Stadium
$40M for the practice fields around 2017
$1.65M to redo the weight room in 2016
$64M for football expenses in 2023-2024

The last things which are needed are a
- Fieldhouse
- NIL Support

Go root for that scum school that:
1. Alowed Joe Pa to let criminal activity run rampant - "success with honor"
2. Allowed Sandusky to perpetrate disgusting crimes against children and turned a blind eye
3. Built a shrine to Joe Pa when Joe admitted he should have done something.

Could never root for a program with that history, but you want to "lionize" them as something to aspire to? No thanks.

There was only one school we told our kids that we would not pay for--Penn State. They had no interest in such a filthy place.

Michigan is a program we should aspire to.

No doubt he’d get that 5th star if we had that fieldhouse.
More like a 7th star. With a Fieldhouse and Schiano’s offensive acumen they’d have to change the rating scale just for him. Even more certain than Wimsatt to win the Heisman, ain’t that right Imaginary Gavin Boyfriend of La Mancha ?

Wow, what a huge win for Rutgers Football! Landing a four-star recruit like Jaylen McGill especially over powerhouse programs like Alabama, Georgia, and Clemson speaks volumes about the momentum Coach Schiano and his staff are building. McGill’s explosive stats and versatility as both a runner and receiver are exactly what this program needs to take the next step in the Big Ten. Pairing him with talents like Carter, Coke, and Collier shows just how much this 2026 class is shaping up to be a game-changer.

Commitments like this is how you build a competitive and sustainable program. It’s not just about talent; its about creating a culture of winning that attracts elite players and pushes everyone to get better. With recruits buying into the vision and the staff making big-time connections, the Scarlet Knights are setting themselves up to make serious noise in the B1G. Lets keep this momentum rolling! Rutgers is on the rise!
