"9 dumbest things in Kyle Flood report" from EDSBS

You REALLY can't make some of this poopie up. There is some seriously mind-numbing stuff in that report. I mean KF has to be - HAS TO BE - smarter than this, no?

OMG, if I wasn't a RU fan I would have died from laughter after reading that. Well done.

Have to believe this is Flood's first transgression. No one would have been that dumb to do what he did in trying to cover-up his actions if he was experienced in this sort of thing.

Maybe we can hire the guy from Memphis, only a little more than KFbis making, and he's gotta be smarter than flood

Flood was blatantly breaking the rules and he knew what he was doing. That guy really isn't that bright, the thing that still bugs me is that in his statement he implies that he didn't know he was breaking rules. Like I said earlier this week, he is a very good bullsh!tter.

The Ledger has everything they need to pressure the university to fire him. And they aren't going to stop until that happens. Read that article, how Flood isn't fired already is really surprising. This is going to be a media circus and another Rutgers screw up that is not going to stop until he's gone.

Let's hope Greg Schiano is still willing to talk. Because nobody better is going to consider this job.

He has to go. Wouldn't surprise me if the ledger sets its target now on barchi and Herman saying they were too harsh. They just need a target, don't care who it is. It will get worse still.

Even if Flood had good intentions, there is something sinister about the whole affair. I thought it was a witchhunt up until the report came out, but Flood's punishment fit the crime.

I just want the guy to coach football. Don't care how smart or dumb he is. Just coach and graduate the guys. Our players, like BCs, pen state's and some other northeast schools will always be smarter and better behaved than most players around the country because we simply come from a smarter region of the country... Basically, these latest incidents were a rare occurrence, we know it, so move the hell on. 1st time in 4 years that we have had problems like this... thats not a pattern, its an anomaly

When I first read a post of the phone conversation with this never happened, I thought some wise guy made it up! Unbelievable! Lol sad.

Let's be honest, even if he wore his full Rutgers garb to meet the professor at Princeton no one would have recognized him there. But, I give him credit for going all in.

The SL's primary target for termination is Julie Herman. They won't push for Flood's termination. Not firing Flood speaks towards Herman's incompetence as AD.

Everyone should follow celebrityhottub (Ryan Nanni) on Twitter. Funny and very knowledgable about CFB overall. Same can be said for the majority of the SBNation guys.

I actually have some sympathy for Flood on this. He could easily have been concerned about the student when he was trying to keep the email out of open records access.

And he did not try to threaten the prof or pay him off... which could possibly be added to the "dumb things" list if you are trying to do things the way the SEC guys do it.

But really.. it is all so stupid that he has to go. I wonder how much control Flood will exhibit during his absence. Will the defense blitz more now? Will the offense throw more? Will Rettig get some snaps? Who is calling the shots.. and can they risk Flood's ire for not doing things the Flood way?

In addition to eschewing Rutgers garb as not to be recognized in front of the Princeton library, I'm surprised Kyle didn't don a fake nose and glasses disguise.

Yeah, he's good. I enjoy him when he fills in on the Solid Verbal podcast

"latest incidents" is plural and "a rare occurrence" is singular. Also, "that's" is a contraction and requires an apostrophe. When I post on my board about how smart Nebraskans are, I check twice before hitting the "Post Reply" button.....just sayin

Thank God the professor didn't change the grade. The poopie storm would be many times worse if Flood had succeeded and Barnwell played against Norfolk State.

If the professor changed the grade we probably wouldn't be talking about this right now. We'd still be talking about how much integrity our head coach has and what a great guy he is.

And this is why it is good it came out now

One doesn't eat one cookie

If Kyle is truly this dumb and compromised, you can bet there are a whole bunch of other things that he did (or tried to do)

On the fence about whether he should ever come back from his 3 game suspension.....not on the fence that Flood is an idiot, and if he loses this job 'spy' will not be his future occupation.

That doesn't look like a giant leap (to conclusion) now.

Wow. I've been on the Kyle Flood train, but he has to be fired. The emails, phone conversation ("this conversation never happened"), meeting in Princeton, etc, etc is way more than we all anticipated. Lumped in with the behavioral issues we've seen... I don't know how he survives. If he does, Rutgers is putting themselves in a terrible position.

I think RU (by suspending only) is letting the season play out a little more... hopefully getting a couple wins which will keep the players interested and not completely trash the season. If we beat PSU and Kansas and then he gets fired, the fans will keep coming and the players will keep playing hard. Otherwise, it just makes no sense.

Two questions: why would the professor meet with him at all, especially in a place as remote as Princeton? And why didn't the professor record the conversation, which is pretty common practice these days? The recording would have been an endless source of entertainment.
