A message to Kyle "Elmer Fudd" Flood

Should have never been hired. I couldn't stand the hire from day 1 and yet he still managed to somehow exceed every (negative) expectation I had for him. He should be ashamed of himself.

Breaking the rules and still sucking is not good
This is exactly how I felt when I read this today. How could you break so many rules, and still suck so bad? At least give the cheating schools, which there are many, if they're going to roll the dice and cheat, they're going to make sure they win.

He was so bad that he wasn't even good at cheating

Flood set us back quite a bit, he really hurt the program - but you grown men really need to hurl insults like this? Get over it and quit acting like children.

Years ago I had a run in with Flood that has some real symbolism now.

I think it was his first year as the HC and I was up with my team at the 7 on 7 camp/tournament.

He had just finished interacting with a bunch of players and they went off to play. He was in his fancy golf cart making a U-turn and a bunch players bags/shoes/ water was in his way. He stopped the golf cart, looked around, and then ran over all over the high school player's things. Just went right over them with his golf cart.

I thought it was a bit messed up then but it is pretty symbolic to how he treated the program.

Just a dumb story.

There are a lot of stories like that.

But a few people are still holding on to the" but he was a nice guy" nonsense.

Yeah, I hope this doesn't really handicap your current staff as they walked into a tough situation and now this.

Schiano left at exactly the wrong time. He had a rock solid defense coming back and would have likely won the big east. He would've had far better nfl options after the season than Tampa. The big ten invite was on its way and Rutgers would be in a better position to replace schiano with a legitimate coach. Flood, Pernetti, and Schiano unwittingly conspired to screw us in that order.

It's water under the bridge at this point and despite the record we have a real coach in charge now. It's best to focus on the positive developments in the football program.

Kyle, can we have the buyout money back?

As a head coach Flood has a great responsibility to the program than just wins and losses on the field. In light of all of the off field issues you would think that Rutgers would be able to sue him for breach of contract and recover a large chunk of his buy out.
