This. When I watch the post game handshakes and stuff at the pro level, I often assume these guys have all known each other or played together or against each other since they were kids.

Hope this is not true but obviously something is going on behind the scenes with B Knight and it would make sense if he ends up there as Bailey's AAU Coach Omar Cooper has a connection to Auburn - his son Sharife Cooper went to Auburn. I don't believe the link between Bailey and Dylan tho. If Bailey chooses to go to Auburn I don't think that impacts Dylan's choice at the end of the day. I still think he ends up @ RU over Duke.

I just don’t see if for Knight. Unless they like double his salary, (which would be absurd considering he’s already paid extremely well), he would really just make a lateral move that wouldn’t do much for his career And totally screwing over Pikiell while at it.

Auburn basketball assistant coaches received contract extensions before 2021-22 season

Wes Flanigan, Ira Bowman and Steven Pearl all received two-year extensions prior to the start of last season.

Wes Flanigan - $375k, Ira Bowman - $340k, Steven Pearl - $295k

Hiring B Knight for a $1 million dollar contract would be a huge increase in payroll for Auburn but if it brings in a pipeline of players from Atlanta...

Seriously though, Bruce Pearl will Bruce Pearl as always.. If he really does want Knight and what he'll bring along, he'll probably be willing to do whatever it takes to try to get him. Keeping fingers crossed that Knight and Bailey don't go anywhere. (and Ndongo either...)

Peace. Got your point. Related point. Been in Alabama quite a bit. Recently retired and wife and I spent time in the pan handle Florida and decided ti drive to get there. She never had been to Alabama so decided to take route that went through Alabama and spent night in Auburn. Auburn is ok. Rest of Alabama, let’s just say she was speechless. I guess if someone threw a boat load of money my way would tolerate it for a while but..,,,

If the Auburn pursuit of Knight is legit:

I think Dylan becomes a key piece
What I hope happens is that Dylan verbals to RU before anything else happens

This may help with locking in Ace further who was recruiting for us

Then, with Ace being even more happy with his choice, sets out signals that Auburn is out, with or without Knight
This lessens Auburns pursuit of Knight somewhat, if there is no package deal with Ace, they would have to want Knight as a stand alone
