If Addazio is let go, and the pressure is building: RU MUST go after their DC Don Brown who I consider one of the best in the business.
Yes. But we did dodge a bullet not getting Addazio as our coach. If Addazio is let go, and the pressure is building: RU MUST go after their DC Don Brown who I consider one of the best in the business.
FYI - he is on his 4th string QB and has his team fighting hard. I'm not a fan of his but the guy is a decent coach.Pass on ADDIZZIO
I'd take Addazzio as our HC in a heartbeat
He wouldn't be my first choice but his kids play hard and he often plays well against the best teams with way inferior talent. The two years prior to his arrival BC had won 2 and 4 games. He went and won 7 games each of his first two seasons while implementing and entirely new system. He lost to USC by 6, Clemson by 4, and FSU by 3. As noted, he is playing with a 4th string walk on QB and his kids are still playing hard.really? Why? What has he done that makes him desirable? Win at Temple with Golden's players? Lose miserably at BCU?
FWIW I didn't want him last coaching search either.
BTW another "MAC coach of the week" failure.
I'd say we're missing at least that much as well & we started the year with 1 of the most inexperienced teams that Phil Steele rated us 112th most experienced with only 10 returning starters & it would be even lower without Hamilton & the dismissed players.BC is missing their first string QB, TE, RB, 1 OL and many more on the 2 deep on defense.
Tough to judge him on the results of this season.

I don't want Brown as HC, I'm talking about a lateral move as DC. Don't know how much he's being paid at BC though. Same for Phil Swow or Mike Elko at WF. I think these guys could be solid DCs to be paired with an offensive HC if we go that route.Addazio is NOT getting fired. This season was going to happen at some point and is directly related to injuries (QB1, RB1, TE1) and having to turn over the entire offensive line because of Spaziani's recruiting holes.
Brown is 60. Has done the HC thing. Hes coaching at home now. I cant imagine at this age and point in his career he would ever even think of taking over the dumpster fire at Rutgers (or a head job anywhere).

That a lot of our issues this year are due to inexperience, injuries & roster issues too. The excuse goes both ways here.that's nice.
What's the point?

I wasn't making a comparison between Flood and Addazio.
I was just pointing out that a superficial look at Addazio's record this year is misleading. They've been devastated by injuries, many of which happened once the season started.
Nice try as I'm not a Flood supporter, but people have to at least be realistic with what we had to work with & loom at the facts that it wasn't nearly as much as everyone thinks. Nonetheless, give me Babers, Campbell or another O coach.Flood's supporters point out the suspensions to cover his ineptness .
BC supporters claim it's the previous coach's fault depth is so bad.
But Addazio left Temple after going 4-7 his second year there (9-4 his first)
and 3-8 in his third ,after two 7-6 seasons at BC.
Doubt BC will let him go, but don't think he's on any P-5 school's short list that's looking for a HC.
