For me, Georgia is #8. I live here and am sick of hearing about them. So I hope the Domers take them out.
ASU vs Texas... I guess I want ASU to pull the upset to shut up some of the SEC talk.
Boise State / PSU - go Broncos, but I expect the game won't be all that close. Jeanty is really good, though.
Oregon v Ohio State - I'm not a Day fan so I hope the Ducks beat the Nuts.
I want the B1G team to beat the 4 vs. 5 winner.
For the other four, I would prefer Boise, then ND, then PSU over UGA.

Does a Big Ten championship not benefit Rutgers the most?
Considering future media and partner negotiations?
It would seem to make sense that a “Rutgers fan” would prefer what’s best for Rutgers.

I disagree with a Rutgers fan cheering for Sandusky, yes.
Anyone but Norte Dame, Penn State or the SEC teams.
I interpreted it as who do people think are the strongest teams remaining versus who do people like and hate the most.
Interesting. Nobody said “cheering for” but I do acknowledge that Penn State winning is better for Rutgers than any other non-Big Ten school.
Do you not think that is the case?

Perhaps Rutgers should have never accepted the invitation to a conference that would allow “Sandusky”?
We don’t give a eff about a rivalry and don’t give a eff if the hate is one sided. The fact you don’t understand that tells a lot. But that’s ok.

For the next two years, a portion of the CFP payout is performance based so the B10 doing better can bring in a little more money. In the next contract, distributions are fixed by conference.
Title of the thread is "personal preference", that certainly doesn't mean "strongest teams". It's who do you want to win....which is almost always a love/hate thing.
Okay .. I just find funny how our fans in one thread discuss the end of season rivalry game and complain about how they are not playing us. Then in a thread ranking playoff teams act like they don’t belong.
My daughter attended Pitt, they have 6 active threads on PSU daily. This site has several a month. I ask my colleagues who are PSU alumni how many times either school has a thread. They laughed at me

Good. That was exactly my point. As a Rutgers fan, my preference is for what is in the best interest of Rutgers - i.e. PSU (or any other Big Ten team) winning it all.
The prior poster was suggesting all Rutgers fans shouldn't prefer what's in the best interest of Rutgers.

Why can Rutgers act in it's own best interest but a Rutgers can't prefer what would be in Rutgers own best interest?

That's not what was asked. It is not who you THINK will win.. it is who you PREFER to win. From what you have said in the past the example might be.. if you thought LSU had teh best shot.. but you'd be rooting gainst that because their fans are asshats.
It is just an opportunity for @Hardslider21 to flex. It is a rivalry because Franklin acts like it is a rivalry from the moment he was hired going to both Maryland and Jersey and claiming it as his recruiting grounds. Working so hard to claim it is not a rivalry indicates that it is, one-sided as it is. They fear it becoming a more recognizable rivalry because they have relied on a good share of Jersey recruits for a hundred years.
Are Penn State and Ohio State rivals? I think Penn State would say so, yet, since joining the Big Ten Penn State is something like 7-26.. is that a rivalry?

Hell every team recruits New Jersey and Maryland not just Franklin. Just look at the 2025 class 11 different schools
Ohio State and Pedd State each have three of the top ten recruits in New Jersey's 2025 class.

It's the Power 2 and it should be pretty damn obvious to everyone moving forward. ACC will live on only because ND leeches on to it and Clemson/Miami/FSU now realize that winning that clown conference moving forward will be easier to make the CFP than going through a B1G/SEC gauntlet.
I don't believe any of those programs are satisfied making it to the top 12. While the path to the playoffs is an easier road, I'm not sure that team will be the best prepared for the 3-4 games in the playoffs. The regular season payout is well under the P2 it hurts them from improving facilities & staying on par with elite programs that are well funded
I still think ACC is on shaky ground and will crumble as if is today with GOR verdict.
Not a football related dislike and how the Nit fanbase acted is a big reason there is no rooting for Pervert State University for me.
Also hiring a HC that might have impeded a rape case at the School he left and a President hat was accused of being part of covering up the star QB sexually assaulting another student at the University he was previously the head of, makes me feel that school is more of a cult looking for wins rather than having the type of values that protect those that go there morally and physically .
Being a B1G member isn't a good reason to want them to win anything but resentment , because of the way they acted before Sandusky was caught and afterwords must be remembered and that type of people doesn't make the B1G members look good.
Schiano was low on the totom pole and only Joe Pa the pervert protector and upper Pervert State mnagement know about the molestation their Coach Emeritus Sandusky was doing.
Even the Perv St Campus police helped cover up what that molester did.
In 1998 there was an incident a mother reported and was investigated by Detective Ronald Shreffler.
Det.Shreffler testified before the grand jury that the director of the campus police then told him to drop the case, even though other detectives had listened to conversations during which the mother confronted Sandusky about the incident. Sandusky admitted to showering with other boys and refused to discontinue the practice.
Pev St had a tight circle around what Sandusky was doing preventing knowledge of his actions getting out and very few know what was going on and those that suspected something were told excuses for what they seen or heard to placate them by giving them an excuse for it and make it look alright.
Confidentl agreements with victims of Sandusky were going on for years and with the payment to those who were his victims came a demand of silence so no one would know .
So mention Schiano all you want, the powers of Perv St kept a cone of silence over Happy Valley so no one outside of JoePa's inner circle know what a monster their Coach Emertis was .
Mike McQueary started played for them in 1994 to 1997 returning in 2000 as a graduste assistant coach and he didn't know a thing untill he seen that monster in action in 2001 and contected Paterno about what he saw.
Joey the perv protector swept it under the rug with help from the President of the University and Perv St's AD untill what happened came out and Grand Jury investigated whatwent on.
Perv St supporter always try to deflect what happened trying to accuse the innocent whoile protecting the guilty ones that knoiw what was going on and done not a thing to strop it or protect kids from the monster of happy valley
And now their defensive players celebrate big plays with a mime spanking and “be quiet” gesture. Feels ironically on brand to me, and clear indication the atrocities their culture enabled have been shamefully forgotten.
