Almost as bad as losing is how boring RU football has become

In year 2 in the B1G, I can take losing to some of these storied, powerful teams. They are platinum programs in college football. I can even take getting blow out in some cases, at this point. Sad but true.

What is even worse is how boring the games are now. Yea, they are over by the second quarter, but it is worse than that. Flood trotting out a QB who, if he makes a completion, it is a miracle. He has the worst 3 game stats I have ever seen in my life. Just putrid. No team would keep putting him out there without at least trying someone new, but Flood does. The offense is like watching a car drive in to a brick wall, only to back up and do it again and again until the final whistle blows. A Neanderthal would call this unsophisticated.
Zero imagination. Even Harbaugh, a Phd. Meathead, uses misdirection to keep teams off balance. You see players making plays, and attempting to make plays. We see little of that outside of Grant for RU.

Throw on top a defense that is horrible, and is constantly working off short fields because the ramrod offense goes 3 and out all of the time, and you have what is the worst sin of all in entertainment.

This sh*t is boring as hell.

the most exciting thing about the last game was the on-sides kick. It was one of the few times all season Flood tried something different.

The game is boring. The offense is ridiculously predictable and the defense puts hardly any pressure on the QBs. Some people may have hated Schiano, but at least he gave Rutgers an identity.

We are NOT entertained.

Good OP. I agree completely and what's more, this is why I think we need to make a change now. Even if we don't get a proven P5 winning coach, bring in someone who runs a spread offense and knows how to utilize talent (like Grant). You may say we've been recruiting pro style athletes, but how's our fullback and tight ends doing? We need a complete shake up.

This team needs our support now more than ever. Nebraska is a HUGE game. Don't bail on the team. Can you keep the negativity on Flood on the back burner till the end of the season? We will be HOME for the first time in 3 weeks. A win can get the team big momentum for Maryland and Army and then a Bowl.

Please, put your hatred for Flood away for 3 weeks, and support the team. They bust their butts all year long.

3 more weeks ! PLEASE !

Not bailing and still rooting for the team. Nevertheless, I've had it with Flood. The guy doubles down on stubborness more than a mule.

We've been a pretty boring team for a large percentage of the time since 08. Crappy offense is tough to watch.

Yes it is...agree
Just think how boring it is to the casual RU fan.
Actually, I doubt they even watch to see it

But at least they were competitive and usually in games. I don't need a Baylor offense to be interested. Just give me some competitive games and some good plays being made.

Say what you want about GS's wild knight offense, but at least he tried something. Flood would rather lose his way than maybe win or be competitive doing something the other team isn't ultra prepared for. It's just stupid at this point, culminating with keeping the worst QB I have seen in games.

Not bailing I will be at all three. But I can say will be attending with major reservations. The excitement for me at least is gone. That's what three games in a row now where we haven't even been competitive for a half will do to ya. If they do something, anything I'll cheer but this season has been a huge let down from the start and continues to get worse. Had company over to watch the game, they all left right after halftime. Yea good times.

I am not bailing on this team. I just got back from Ann Arbor and will be at the next 3 games. However if Flood continues to make the same mind boggling decisions and cannot motivate his team so show some interest in being on the field I certainly will show my displeasure.

OK, the contest is over. You are the grand prize winner for the metaphor that best captures the Zeitgeist of the Flood era.

What more can be said? And no doubt if Flood is retained we will stop saying it and just give up.

The situation is so critical that I would rather go without a head coach than keep Flood. In other words hire good coordinators and then run the team without a head.
