Great, dominating road win to finish 7-5, as expected...

"Improvement" that was only realized because of KM's injury and the acute need to change the offense (using larger rotating WR sets/personnel). RU's offensive explosiveness confirmed what offensive critics had been saying for years (safety first and playing not to lose with a 2 page playbook etc)
"for years" doesn't hold up to scrutiny given the change at QB.

I'll also point out AK's 3 highest attempt games this year were all losses. His 5 lowest attempt games this year were all wins.

I know game situation will, to some extent, dictate play calling, but I don't see the evidence that opening up the offense at some point this year led to more wins.

RU passing hasn't been great going back to Nova's senior year.
QBs like Vedral had no arm, blockers or longer routes - defenses clogged the box.
GW as a dual threat with no OL for long passes (GS said) and D3 receivers.
RU passing was same "safe" routes over and over - and no red zone
AK came in and was not too good first games - had 3 games 50% or under for accuracy - had passes sailing routinely.

Then came the Minnesota game where AK was on fire.
Mongo was out for the game and GS said the offense was changed specifically because of the injury and flattened run game.

"The offense for Rutgers Football has been rather boring in recent years."

There has not been much to get excited about outside of Kyle Monangai in the backfield. Well, against Minnesota on Saturday, Monangai was out and the offense needed a way to move the ball down the field.

That came in the form of different sets, including many with four wide receivers.

“I think you have to be more creative,” head coach Greg Schiano said. “When people say the word creative, it’s not always double reverses and flea-flickers. Creative is personnel. Creative is little things that unless you’re a coach you don’t have any idea are happening, but make a significant difference in the execution. ...You have to remember, we lost our starting tight end and we lost our second team tight end, right, and that’s the same thing we had at the running back position,” Schiano said. “We had lost our second-team running back and then we lost our first team running back. So I think you have to be more creative.”

There you are - being "more creative" gave AK room to work instead of endless sideline passes to same spots/WRs.

"Rutgers Football offense shows much-needed creativity in win against Minnesota - The Scarlet Knights showed different offensive sets against Minnesota."

AK " found leading receiver Dymere Miller five times for 58 yards and two touchdowns. Aided by some smart adjustments from offensive coordinator Kirk Ciarrocca — running tempo at opportune moments, using four wide receivers for perhaps the first time this season — Kaliakmanis looked unstoppable... an outstanding half from quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis against his former team, a breakout performance from their young wide receivers"

"Breakouts...adjustments...first time" Minn was a turning point in season

Illinois game aside, please be specfic in how Schiano's game day coaching cost Rutgers each of the other 4 losses this season. Maybe we can have Ritchie forward a copy to him as a learning exercise for next year.
Timeout call before the half in the UCLA game. We could have won that one.
