I may be wrong but as far as I know there wasn't a single instance of any off the field issues with our players this year. No arrests, no suspensions, not even a bad article on any supposed rumors. Pretty big deal for a team that a year ago was on ESPN for some pretty bad stuff. How many years has it been since we had a season bereft of misconduct issues?

Another strange thread in a long line of strange threads.
Nothing to celebrate, it should be expected.
Actually in today's climate I think a major football team having no issues shouldn't be taken for granted.

Especially with all the bad press this program had and the fact that most of our national recognition in recent years was for misconduct.

The press is in a honeymoon phase with Hobbs and Ash, so they haven't fully exposed their true slimeball nature. Yes, JH/KF did some shady things, but the outrage was fanned to flames by local media. All Ash has to do is keep losing with his own guys and the media will come back to life.

Disagree; the media seem to be in love with Ash and Hobbs. Both are to be credited with the lack of player misconduct (of course, primary credit goes to the athletes), but I think few fans would be content with a sports administration that accomplishes only a lack of misconduct.

Eh don't care. Lose less games and have some minor conduct issues with better players in the program. Most Rutgers football fans would be ok with that.
2-10 was major misconduct.

Considering the NOA with which we have been served we better be free of any issues. The best we can hope for is probation with no immediate sanctions. The only way that is even possible is if we stay clean, squeaky clean, for several years. And that means more than just football. Hopefully Hobbs has every coach from the HCs on down fully on notice to do everything by the book.

Team left the media in a lurch. 5 Norte Dame players were arrested early in the season, one with a loaded gun, who was thrown off the team (loaded guns are non-negotiable), 4 had weed in their possession (they played that week, to my knowledge). A friend of mine, and huge ND fan told me that the media in South Bend will report the arrests, anb be handled internally, and "swept under the carpet". I can only imagine the press we would get if a few of our guys were arrested b/c of weed. Media had a field day w one of our captains having a fake ID

In the meantime, North Carolina and Penn State Can laugh all the way to their bowl games

dont care..win games..what Louisville and others do and zero happens..nobody cares ..
just win baby.

Delusional. There are always some off-the-field issues; most of them we never hear of because they're minor and handled internally.
