Wins matter most, but kudos to Ace for his 39 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 blocks at Indiana.

When, if ever, have we had a true freshman do what he did on the road in a hostile environment? In only his 14th college game!

He’s averaging 20 and 8 on the season, which is great for any player, and extraordinary for a frosh.

Let’s hope his performance is a catalyst for our guys to rally hard around our two stars, and lift the entire team to new heights.

I hope we somehow find our way to the big dance, so Ace and Dylan will be truly appreciated, by RU fans and college hoop followers everywhere.

It’s cool either way, since it’s a message board, but Ace and Dylan should be celebrated, while denigrating the coaching staff is more warranted, imo.

This year reminds me of when Quincy Douby was balling at Rutgers. We were not a good team but we had a stud that was fun to watch. History repeating itself with Ace and Dylan.
I don’t see many similarities . Team was terrible the year before and nothing was expected of them. Douby had a great junior season and team went 19-14 , 7-9 in the BE . Made the NIT .
Waters was then forced out to hire an assistant already on staff : Fred Hill Jr.

at this point idc what the result is, pike screwed this season up barring a miracle turnaround.

I’m all in on watching Dylan and Ace ball out for the rest of the season and do things we never see in a rutgers uniform. They have far exceeded expectations for me.

They have exceeded my expectations as well. If someone had said they would exceed expectations prior to the season starting, I would have guessed we’d be about 12-2 instead of 8-6.

Ace in the Indiana game definitely had a Quincy Douby vibe to it, especially since Dylan couldn’t play.

We had to win the last game of the season at St. John's to clinch a spot in the Big East tourney. Douby had 36 points.

Hope we don't have to wait that long to solidify a spot in the B1G tourney this season.

I think you have the years mixed up . We were 7-9 in league during douby’s great junior season.

dont forget Doubys freshmen year and 30 plus point performance vs Iowa State at MSG in the NIT semis that had some Rutgers fans carrying NIT banners through the Garden

Wow you’re right ! Damn 6-10 In the league would have kept us home !
I forgot waters resigned during that season …Mulcahy tired to pin the snow game on him
Fred Hill given credit and the head coaching job for a win vs Marquette after a 16 inch snowstorm really showed how small time some of our fanbase was

We are literally a few plays in the Alabama , Texas A&M and Princeton games from being 11-3 and everyone jumping for joy instead of most of the posters jumping ship and calling for Pike’s head. How ridiculous it is.

Nobody honestly calling for him to be fired. But we aren’t 11-3. Instead we’re trending south fast and the supporting cast of stiffs is wholly inadequate on both ends for a mid or high major program, even if as backups.

HCSP shouldn’t be fired for this Hindenburg season but there’s no denying he squandered what could have been the best season in decades by getting only portal scraps and having no returning talent either with the exception of possibly Williams, depending on the day.

And a few plays from losing to ND, Seton Hall, and Penn State and a 5-9 record. Hypotheticals mean nothing but they work both ways.

I am almost with you . Ill be able to 100% agree with this thinking of we get 4 of the next 6 and leave the garden 5-4/12-8….as
Those losses will be lessons learned for us turning this arojnd

If we get 5 of 6, and get to 6-3/13-7….then post will be the post of the year

Time for us defend home turf…one game a at time
