I've read a lot of comments recently about recruits needing to step up and show "leadership". I think it's less about leadership and more about whether someone is a risk taker or risk averse. Kids are no different than adults in that respect. While not a perfect analogy, how many of you would take job at a start up if you had the option of joining an established firm? Yeah, you may strike gold at the start up but it comes with a lot more uncertainty and risk. When RU competes with The OSUs of the world for a recruit, this is the choice. Take the path that likely leads to a great salary and a SVP or roll the dice at the chance of something bigger.
