Special Recognition to Candido Sa for being 2nd in both my Defensive MVP and Top Newcomer and Corey Sanders for embracing the role as a true "1" and offensive leader

Defensive MVP: Candido Sa
Most Improved: Mike Williams

I've been very critical of Mike Williams his first 2 seasons saying he isn't good enough for Big 10 competition and although the Big 10 schedule hasn't started yet his confidence is as high as it's been and he's finally hitting the shots he was known and recruited for hitting. Hope it continues

Candido doesn't play as many minutes as Freeman and Williams but when he does play I think his defensive impact is better than anyone on the team so I give him my vote

Mvp is the staff and the team. The team is playing basketball that is watchable. The players are doing all the little things that are necessary to win when you are a poor shooting team.

It doesn't get mentioned much on this board but I love when Nigel draws that offensive foul by recognizing that the opposing guard is sticking out his arm to create dribble space

As a K State transfer I had my doubts about him but he is talented and smart. Great pick up.
