Cignetti should be above Rhule. Crushed it in his 1st year with only two losses (to the National Champs and the runner up) and he beat Rhule 56-7 .

I still don't see what Matt Rhule has done to warrant #5. All the advantages in the world, top notch facilities, an NIL war chest rival to the best and yet 5-7, 7-6 has them rising back up to relevance? Some programs can do no wrong in the media's eye's while others are continually scrutinized.

I think it based more on his previous stops. He has had 3 10 plus win seasons and took a Baylor team in chaos and took them to the Sugar Bowl.

My take on it…You do need to put Day as number 1 as he just won the big one. But realistically, he doesn’t deserve it. Completely loaded roster at all times and went a long time without doing it or beating Michigan. I think a lot of these coaches could do what Day has done at OSU.
Franklin- has had a loaded roster his whole time there and can’t get it done. So, he be one coach that may not have been able to do what Day has done or he would have done it at PSU…
