Any updates on a time frame for announcing a new coach ? Any new names? Is there still time to have a good shot with Class if 2020 players ? What is the biggest reason for no one being named yet? Is Hobbs just taking his time? Salary for the head coach and possible assistants? Not having a stadium ? Possibilities are still coaching in Omaha ?

as mentioned hopefully the time delay means cleaning house. Regarding commits we have 2020 pretty much done. Though I wouldnt be shocked to see some new ones and some leave. I certainly hope someg commitment to facilities is in the contract. Even lights and a real score board would be a big help. Being able to practice at night is a good advantage. I certainly hope it is someone in omaha. Or at least someone with a serious recruiting and development background. Connections to travel teams and things like that are so important. Frazier is right there is zero excuse, even with our facilities and many top players leaving the north east for rutgers not to be a top big ten baseball team and legit ncaa contender. The last coach simply was unacceptable. No connections, no effort. You see the programs like uconn, stoney brook, st johns. They have plenty of talent to compete for ncaa bids.

he learn his lesson about needing to take his time hiring coaches.

I much rather have the right hire than a quick hire.
But you also hope that he has had a Plan B in-place all along. The need to not renew Litterio is old. Taking his time is ideal here if he feels he has a chance with a staff member from one of the teams still alive at the CWS.

Saw the NJ All State teams today. No RU recruits on first team. Didn't see an RU commit until 3rd team.
Such a joke. Litterio ugh. First team all state commits to wagner, monmouth, uconn, rider. The one thing that is interesting is the recruit sweeney from egg harbor. I dont know if he was hurt. He looked like he was going to be a high draft pick as a sophomore and then had two poor years. I dont know if he had injuries or what.

Between this and Michigan being one of the final 4 teams in the college World Series that’s all you need to know. Get the right coach, slowly improve the facilities, and get it done. No more ****ing excuses. We don’t have to be a college World Series team. But there is absolutely no reason whatsoever we cannot contend for postseason births, NCAA ones, on a yearly basis. We did in the past and we can now.

Wow, those first team all state pitchers look phenomenal. Have to get to a point where we get one or two of them a year.
