1. Purdue
2. Minnesota
3. Wisconsin
4. Michigan
5. Michigan State
6. Maryland
7. Northwestern
8. Illinois
9. Iowa
10. Indiana
11. Ohio State
12. Penn State
13. Nebraska
14. Rutgers

Maryland at Rutgers
Indiana at Purdue
Ohio State at Penn State

Maryland needs to stop the bleeding. One last hope for Indiana and OSU. Will Rutgers win again?

My early B1GT odds

Purdue 9/2 (23%)
Minnesota 7 to 1 (14%)
MSU 8 to 1 (12%)
UM 8 to 1 (12%)
MD 11 to 1 (9%)
WIS 11 to 1 (9%)
Ind 20 to 1 (5%)
NW 25 to 1 (4%)
Iowa 25 to 1 (4%)
Illinois 33 to 1 (3%)
OSU 33 to 1 (3%)
PSU 133 to 1 (.75%)
NEB 133 to 1 (.75%)
RU 200 to 1 (.5%)

it will be such a great tourney. I think any of the bottom schools besides Rutgers can make a run to the semifinals. All going to be about matchups. Certain teams matchup better with certain teams.

Its not a bad thing for a NCAA team to lose in the conference tourney...ie Nova last year. Minny will be a sexy pick to win it this year because they are the hottest team but do not discount Wisconsin. They could lose in the first round but they can get their mojo back and win it all. Lets see what they are made of when they regroup.

Hopefully Cekovsky either hobbled or out will work in our favor tonight, as we must regain the edge on the boards to have a chance. I don't think Indiana upsets Purdue. OSU-PSU is a tossup. Ordinarily, you'd have to give the edge to the home team, but PSU doesn't have much of a home court advantage. In fact they are just a 1.5 point favorite, which doesn't really bode well for them.

Minnesota chances get killed if they don't get the double bye. They aren't deep and they are a high effort team.

My sleeper team is Ohio State.

Ceko is out for the season.....broken ankle

Maryland 79 Rutgers 59

Purdue 86 Indiana 75

Ohio State 71 Penn State 70...PSU hits 3 with 9 seconds left to go up 1, then OSU hits layin with 3 seconds left to win the game

looking more and more like a Indiana/Nebby/PSU matchup for RU in the Big 10 tourney

OSU is my sleeper....talented AND young.

For the millionth time the B1G is going to be so improved next year.

Nebby or PSU is who we want to play round one, only two we have beaten and can beat again, would also hope for Northwestern or Michigan as the 6, if we have dreams of getting to Friday

if either team brings their A game they will beat us, neither did the times we beat them. Indiana beat us pretty good but you wonder if they might not check out for the Big 10 tourney with nothing to play for.

OSU hosts Indiana and figures to win, that would drop Indy to 6-12.

Nebby is at Minny which is a likely loss and then hosts Michigan.....could go either way but probably a loss so that would put them at 6-12.

PSU is at Iowa which is probably a loss that would put them at 6-12.

I think in that 3 way tie, PSU will finish 13th and I think Indiana 12 and Nebby 11..not positive on this

tonight...

Michigan at Northwestern

Michigan State at Illinois

huge NCAA implications tonight....Michigan and Michigan State look pretty safe no matter but Northwestern may need this win to be sure. Illinois most definitely needs this win barring a Big 10 tourney final run. Can the home teams wins?

according to ESPN
NW -1
Illinois -1.5

I am going with Northwestern and quite frankly have no idea what to expect in the MSU/Illinois game.

MSU is coming off a big win headed to what will probably be a hostile and boisterous crowd on the road...game with meaning but does the pressure get to Illinois. Not convinced at the consistency of Sparty yet. I think Northwestern wins tonight to complete the story

good back and forth battle between Northwestern and Michigan....Cats just got screwed on a call that was a ref total mistake on a 1-1 play. Michigan up 2 with only 5 to go....Julie Louise Dreyfuss in da house

Lane violation on a 1 and 1. That was a creative way to lose a game. Surprised we never thought of that one.

Illinios holds on 73-70...now 18-12/8-9...making a nice sneaky run for a NCAA bid, they will be coming to Piscataway with a lot to play for.

They will be tight

they were tight at the end of this game....but they could also be focused and with something to play for. Teams that came into the RAC meaning business and with a purpose won bigly...Iowa and Maryland. Their A game is better than our A game...we need their C+ or worse game. Illinois is a decent team....5 wins in 6. I was wrong about them when they were 3-8 and we thought that RU could actually pass them for 13th. Whatever happens Groce has saved his job

I believe last year they were also decimated by injuries for the game against RU which of course was an all out war...they had more players out for that game than RU but I think Maverick Morgan killed us. Gettys is wider but Morgan is craftier

they made 1 of 2.....3.4 seconds left, Sparty ball down 73-70

I love this conference.....every night
This conference top to bottom has been probably the most competitive in its' long storied history. The number of overtime games and games going to last minute or last possession has to be a record. These were 2 highly skilled well played games played at the highest level with an unreal number of big time plays, shots, and blocks . The emotion pouring out of Malcolm Hill after that win was so real ! The urgency of these 4 teams as well as Maryland last night will make this Big 10 tournament something special to watch because everybody believes they can win it !

yeah I think they said 12 overtime games this year, thats why I always stress competitive and having leads does not mean anything, everybody else is doing that too. You have to have enough talent to win, coaching alone will not do it because everyone is good coach in this league and a few are elite.

Wisconsin played just stupid and Hayes can't get ball in bounds twice i think.

wow this league....Iowa on the road...Bohannon for 3 to win the game.....59-57...Iowa scored last 7 points in 2 and half minutes to overcome 5 pt defecit and win

Iowa is a legit bubble team now.....9-8 in league. 5 top 50 wins....8 top 100 wins, big road win. If they can take care of Penn State thats 10-8 in league..wow what a job by Fran this year with such a young team

And Wisconsin is a little bit overrated because in close game Happ is going to kill them and why RU should have fouled him at the Garden.

Awesome work on the bracket. Where would you place Iowa in the pecking order. Makes SHU,s win at Iowa look a little stronger.

I do not think they are in the last 4 out yet...probably in that next 4 out, I will do some numbers crunching but I think they will be the 6th team out coming into the weekend, their negatives are the poor overall rpi in the 80s which will move up after tonight's road win and that they have 13 losses which is alot....also two losses outside the rpi top 100...Memphis but the a bad one to Omaha...that one could prove costly but again I think they probably have to get 2 quality wins which means making the final, not sure that just one quality Big 10 win will do it. They certainly will be on the board and in the mix on Selection Sunday if they beat PSU and win their first Big 10 tourney game, now much they need after that is questionable

updated rankings

1. Purdue
2. Minnesota
3. Maryland
4. Michigan
5. Michigan State
6. Wisconsin
7. Northwestern
8. Illinois
9. Iowa
10. Ohio State

13. Nebraska

the weekend finale.....

Illinois at Rutgers
Indiana at Ohio State
Michigan State at Maryland

Penn State at Iowa
Purdue at Northwestern
Minnesota at Wisconsin
Michigan at Nebraska

really looks like tossups all around

Trimble hits 3 with .8 seconds left to give the win for Maryland 63-60...the demise of the Turtle was overblown and premature.

Indiana beat OSU 96-92 that ended any small NCAA at large chances for the Buckeyes
