Rutgers was actually tied for 4th place with tOSU (behind PSU/Iowa/Nebraska) before the Perrotti match, but have basically sewn up 5th place. Good showing!
Perrotti qualified yesterday for the NCAAs. While top 3 would be nice, it's pretty meaningless with NCAAs coming up. Hopefully he can recover enough in time since he's a senior.
So this is the fourth match of the day for most of these guys? Hard to replicate the endurance required for this in the regular season.

There are 6 automatic bids at 125 and McCabe is wrestling Jiminez from Wisconsin for 7th place and a hopeful wildcard bid. There are 10 autos at HWT. Smith basically just has to not fall asleep to make the NCAAs.
Yes, you're right. It's 7. For some stupid reason the Purdue website had 6. And 285 seems to only have 7 as well. I must have read something from another year.

This is a major day for this program. We are potentially sending the ENTIRE squad to NCAA's including a B1G finalist. Amazing night. Just sucks about AP.
