AD Gross is out, but will stay with the university in another capacity.

Boeheim will be retiring within three years.

School will not appeal most of the sanctions except vacating many of the wins and the number of scholarships lost.

Aren't the scholarships the toughest part of the sanctions?

LOL totally. Thats like Al Gore saying he's not protesting the Flordia vote count except for the vote count.

I agree. I guess "most" of the sanctions are dealing with changes in the way the school deals with athletes which is pretty normal after getting caught with your hand in the cookie jar.

Our friends in Bristol are spinning it as he's staying 3 years to help the program and not make a new coach start off dealing with the sanctions.

Rightttttttttttttttttttttttt

but as a bonus to Cuse- they were allowed to vacate 3 years of Football

Im not sure I am getting your knightfan? Why do you think hes leaving but not immediately?

They should consider themselves lucky they do not have a Steve Politi or NJ.com to torch their athletic department to the ground and get rid of Boeheim now. Which is exactly what the media would do to us if we were in their situation.

Because (1) He's being paid a load of money, (2) He's not ready to retire, (3) He doesn't want to appear he's being forced out, and (4) They're projected to be one of the better teams in the country next year.

#4 was discussed already here and in the media as a reason Cuse self imposed sanctions were for this year. They know they'll be a lot better in '15-'16.

I think since he is having what might be the final elite class in a long time for Cuse next year, (which he gets to keep), that he will try for one more NC before retiring, thus the 3 years.

That is the way I read it anyway
