You can expect and hope for anything you want Al, but the reality is like everyone else here you’re clueless as to how good he is or could be.Just like most OL, he may have to be developed. But he has attitude, which is what I love. I expect him to start after a year with Jay Butler, at latest. Maybe he gets his feet wet this year.

I think it’s fine to project a kid with multiple P-5 offers and dominated at camps.Other threads: We can't expect wins for 3 years. OL recruits can't be expected to produce for at least 2-3 years.
This thread: OL recruit is going to challenge for 2 deep immediately and produce after 1 year at the latest.
Making excuses in one thread and then removing the excuses in the next. It's quite remarkable.
Yup and it was a honest question. Hoping Al would provide some insight that I wasnt aware but know its typical fanboy stuff. He might as well just cut to the chase and say "He is going to be good because he plays for the team I root for" .Other threads: We can't expect wins for 3 years. "Which one?"Washington Township kid!
Yeah, I usually remember to include "(Gloucester County).""Which one?"
There's like 8 Washington Townships.
Correct. Unless it is Tre Timbers.I think it’s fine to project a kid with multiple P-5 offers and dominated at camps.
You can’t just like a guy from his picture.
It will take that many to have an effective running game.Al - Isn't that 8 starters you've projected for the OL?
Which Washington Twp? Aren't there at least 4 or 5?Washington Township kid!
If he starts it may be a more damning indication of how bad the talent at OL is at this stage, Kirk C. is gonna be in a whole world of hurt in trying to call plays with a turnstile for an OLHuge News for the OL Room, as Stone will likely challenge for a spot on the two deep. That's what happened last time he was the OC hereIf he starts it may be a more damning indication of how bad the talent at OL is at this stage, Kirk C. is gonna be in a whole world of hurt in trying to call plays with a turnstile for an OL
Funny. Do you think Kirk doesn't know that ?If he starts it may be a more damning indication of how bad the talent at OL is at this stage, Kirk C. is gonna be in a whole world of hurt in trying to call plays with a turnstile for an OL

Response was to RutgersAl. Pretty sure Kirk C. knows that our OL is a sieve. The narrative is he will tailor Offense to personnel so here's hoping he can get us a serviceable offense in 2023.Funny. Do you think Kirk doesn't know that ?
Yes and Al first posting that he will really step up and challenge for a spot on the 2 deep OL and then follows that in a later post saying “he might have to be developed first” shows he has no clue and throws his usual bs out there. You can expect and hope for anything you want Al, but the reality is like everyone else here you’re clueless as to how good he is or could be.

Dylan Braithwaite…. You and I went back and forth not even a week ago and you were convinced the kid was ‘instant impact’. You gonna address this or keep avoiding the question?Challenging for a spot and quite possibly needing to be developed aren’t mutually exclusive. He’ll get his shot, and if he isn’t ready, he’ll be developed. There’s no contradiction.
I thought it was "Big" John Glass? Is he the replacement for "Big" Ron Green

So in this thread you think he plays right away, and in your schiano thread you say ‘I’m not counting on any freshman’. Which one is it Al? You are talking in circles. If Dylan Braithwaite isn’t ready, he’ll redshirt too. But thanks to his speed, I think he plays right away, imo, because we don’t have anyone else with his speed or skillset.
And don’t forget we had an excellent 2022 recruiting class for linemen too
6 in the class! All solid recruits. Asamoah’s already a starter. Jacob Allen was arguably top recruit in state.
Thankfully, we now have a coordinator, who unlike Gleeson 🙄, knows how to coach an oline. I suspect that room is going to make the most improvement of all
With something like 17-20 OL players on the roster, I don’t think we need to rush John Stone, unless he truly is leaps and bounds better. For once, we have a stacked room. We were just missing an OC who could coach them up and work to their strengths
Going to be exciting to see how the 2-deep shakes itself out in Spring Camp
So in this thread you think he plays right away, and in your schisms thread you say ‘I’m not counting on any freshman’. Which one is it Al? You are talking in circles.
Keep in mind as you watch our offense next year, we are going to be paying $2.4 million for that offense between Greg’s hires… let’s see if it’s worth it👍
Entering year 4 why should we be counting on freshman? Now I get why we will be, but that’s not the question, why should we be?What I was saying in the schisms thread is that I’m not counting on a freshmen to lift Rutgers to a winning record, because that would be unfair. Though I should point out that it would not be unprecedented for a freshman to do so, as Ray Rice led Rutgers to a 7-5 record and a berth in the Insight Bowl in 2005.
Offense will be incrementally improved next year. Think that’s a fair expectation.

In the same schiano thread you talk about his strengths in recruiting and developing, again I ask, why in year 4 should we be counting on freshman? More in the sense of how are you possibly that dense to want to extend schiano at this time? Buddy I know you love him and you know I think he’s awful, but let’s try be rational here
