Yes you have Al! You equated Dylan Braithwaite to Santana moss and absolutely said he would be ‘instant impact’I clearly said I’m not counting on a freshman because that would be unfair.

I saw some of his Rivals camp videos, and in my opinion he has a long way to go. He's not quick, not that big and got beat several times by quicker men.

Nope, you’re twisting and moving the goalpost again.I didn’t. Schiano likened him to Santana Moss. Yes, I said he would have an instant impact. I didn’t say he would lead Rutgers to a winning record this year.
Nope, you’re twisting and moving the goalpost again.
What you said was you weren’t ‘counting on freshman to contribute’. Contribute is different than Win Al.
No where in you rant about Braithwaite did you once mention winning. Now that you’re caught you’re doing the RutgersAl Shuffle and attempting to change the argument.
What you said was ‘I’m not counting on freshman to CONTRIBUTE’. What you ALSO said was ‘Dylan Braithwaite is INSTANT IMPACT’. Only one of these statements can be true, my question is which one is it?
I clearly said I’m not counting on a freshman because that would be unfair.
Braithwaite will impact and contribute, no doubt about it..
So what’s the timeline for those ‘22 kids to either contribute to the team or “get the talk?”And don’t forget we had an excellent 2022 recruiting class for linemen too
6 in the class! All solid recruits. Asamoah’s already a starter. Jacob Allen was arguably top recruit in state.
Thankfully, we now have a coordinator, who unlike Gleeson 🙄, knows how to coach an oline. I suspect that room is going to make the most improvement of all
With something like 17-20 OL players on the roster, I don’t think we need to rush John Stone, unless he truly is leaps and bounds better. For once, we have a stacked room. We were just missing an OC who could coach them up and work to their strengths
Going to be exciting to see how the 2-deep shakes itself out in Spring Camp
So what’s the timeline for those ‘22 kids to either contribute to the team or “get the talk?”
Shades of Jonah Jackson.I suspect that the May transfer window will be very active once Kirk gets to evaluate everyone.
Thankfully, we now have a competent OC who has led multiple Big Ten offensive lines and should have a good sense of who will be a contributor or not. May need the summer to really shift out though
Due to Gleeson & Hoffman, who knows what we actually have. That's the crazy thing! Gleeson's only D1 coaching experience was 1 protege year under Mike Gundy at OkState. Nothing in his resume should have made Greg believe he could develop a Big 10 caliber line. Based on the recruits and transfers, we actually have a lot of talent, and it'll soon become an RU strength.
I mean look at Raiqwon O'Neal. Gleeson wasted him, and we needed him badly this year. Instead, he transfers to UCLA, becomes arguably their best offensive lineman, and is now headed to the NFL.
For a second, I thought it was that same kid we recruited 4-5 years ago who used to walk around the games in his overalls. He didn’t work out and never knew where he landed but he had size. What was that kids name?Huge News for the OL Room, as Stone will likely challenge for a spot on the two deep. Announced he will be early enrolling in an Instagram Reel.

You are thinking of Ted Field who was shot and killed a few years ago. He ended up at Georgia Southern then transferred to a d-3 school. For a second, I thought it was that same kid we recruited 4-5 years ago who used to walk around the games in his overalls. That’s it! Whoa, that kid was killed. OMG what a tragic end to his life. I did not remember that part of his story. It had to have been posted on here. Sad. RIP Ted!You are thinking of Ted Field who was shot and killed a few years ago. He ended up at Georgia Southern then transferred to a d-3 school.
