Big Ten medical subcommittee to present options for possible return of football in fall

I am trying to discern why anyone still cares about what Sir Yacht has to say. Any help on this is appreciated.

Sir Yacht has predicted 9 out of the last 0 announcements. He is a modern day Nostradamus.

Did you make this conspiracy theory up yourself, or did you get it from the internets with a certification of authenticity?
if you can't see what is happening I can't help you. When Holloway changed course why do you think he mentioned trump? What other possible reason is there other than a cheap attempt to slander him... It SCREAMS Soros

Naaa Schiano spins it as this is a special place that cares about our players more than just as football players. He was selling Rutgers National Championships in the early 2000s, he can do this too.
There's only so much spinning he can do. There's always an initial recruiting burst when a new coach comes on, heck Ash managed to pull a bunch of 4*'s including the #1 ranked player in NJ his first cycle... You have to back it up with results on the field. Greg has no chance with a mutual recruit that Harbaugh or Franklin wants bad enough if we don't have a season

But yet Sir Yacht continues spinning his inside predictions for B1G FB. With enough at bats isn’t he likely to get a few hits before this is decided?

Could Holloway be setting himself up to be a savior for RU if he agrees to play the season after voting against it?

Is anyone advising Holloway or is he the lone decision maker? His recent quotes indicate it’s just him. So why would RU turn over the keys to our relationship with the B1G to a guy just 2 months on the job?

Based on Holloway’s comments I don’t get why anyone thinks Rutgers will play if the rest the B1G opts to play. He didn’t say anything about listening to the experts, and supporting the conference no matter what the collective group decides. Instead, he took shots at the POTUS and targeted certain states in the B1G footprint.

Again you just don't get it. The Big Ten will not play unless the medical story is convincing. Holloway said he will not change his vote unless the medical story changes. If the sub committee deems the changes acceptable they will bring it to a vote. RU will vote with the majority and if that means playing then RU will play. If the new medical evidence is not convincing(or at least strong enough to save face for the Big Ten) then RU will vote not to play with the majority.

If the medical evidence is not convincing then why will ten of the 14 teams possibly agree to play under those protocols and standards? And if it’s good enough for them then why not us as well?

Holloway appears to have a different set of standards than the 10 teams that want to play. That’s why he’s still a possible opt out. But will we ever hear what he wants, or does he repeat that it’s not safe to play during a pandemic and offer no further detail on why RU won’t play?

If Rutgers and say 2 or 3 others sit out is that a good decision for those schools? They automatically eliminate any season Fall, Winter , Spring ... 4 teams does not make it possible.
Well sounds as though nothing is being accomplished on that front... is Holloway sheltering in place off River Road?

“Sources are telling me that later this afternoon, the Big Ten’s return to competition task force will be on a zoom call with the Big Ten (re-start) committee,” reporter Bruce Feldman said on FOX on Saturday.

“They are going to sort out new medical recommendations for a potential re-start. What I’m told is the medical committee feels like they have a better handle on the cardiac issues, in regards to myocarditis. They have testing protocols in place. They’ve worked through what they’ve learned in the last six weeks. There’s been breakthroughs on the testing front. They have to feel good about these new rapid tests.”

The creation of a rapid testing regimen for COVID-19 could change everything.

“If things go well on this call, there could be a president’s meeting with all 14 for a potential vote as early as [Sunday],” Feldman said. There have been pauses in the Wisconsin and Maryland athletic programs. But what I’m told, there’s more optimism now on the Big Ten front than there’s been in a long time.”

With a restart vote coming soon, which Big Ten schools most want to play football? Here’s a ranking.

Not surprising at all. Sadly for Rutgers fans this will just reinforce the feeling among other B1G schools and fans that Rutgers does not belong in the B1G.

People must realize myocarditis can be found early and treated early with success... you brains out in Rutgers land realize myocarditis can come from any viral infection ... say flu ... got it from flu back in my mid early 40’s...discovered by accident on after an EKG which was done since I had a genetic arrhythmia ... father , brother had the same genetic heart murmur ... there is a possibility many of these athletes have unknown arrhythmias ... some may be related but... it is treatable... how many college athletes have beside EKG’s more extensive scans and tests? Correct not many.🤟

In all the years of my association with Rutgers, there has been nothing that has embarrassed me about anything related to the university. Including "issues" with our former basketball coaches, and monumental blowout losses in football. But if RU chooses to opt out of a season that other big Ten schools have decided it was safe enough to go forward with... along with many other D1 schools and professional leagues? It will be a complete and utter embarrassment. Horrified at the potential of this happening

You're a better man than me because I find myself in a constant state of embarrassment over my association with the university. They have a 10 to 1 ratio of "doing something wrong" to "doing something right" ... and have for at last 40 years.

Interesting theory. Bizarre, but interesting nonetheless.

That aside, why do you say that Holloway changed course, when all evidence suggests that he has consistently favored postponement to Spring? And no, Sir Yacht does not count as evidence.

Hey BuckNut moron, don’t you have anything better to do then post messages on a school’s message board that doesn’t belong in the Big Ten, or are you a complete and total loser? Newsflash - what loser fans like yourself think about Rutgers has zero relevance so maybe consider keeping your feelings to yourself.

Great Holloway has made Rutgers to look like the Grinch who stole Football.

Any B1G FB school who opts out Of FB this Fall while the rest of the B1G schools play the season is defunding their athletics program in a big way.

Why isn’t that a talking point?

Thou shalt not diss the Trump seems top be the theme of the anti-Holloway crowd.
Trump involves himself in B1G talk, B1G Presidents should be allowed to act like the Trump.
If Holloway bowed down to the COVID-19 enabler, the anti-Holloway crowd would turn their love light on and name him best of the B1G.

No actually, Holloway or any university president shouldn't be talking about the president of the united states and his political thoughts on him while making a major announcement about only the university. There was absolutely no reason for him to even bring trump up but he did bc he's a pinhead and couldn't help himself. No other president in the history of the united states was it socially acceptable to bash a president incesantly from people in power of universities. Now Holloway is taking his own personal beliefs and representig the entire school with his statements.... THAT is the issue

Sometimes staying mum is more advantageous. Ever heard the term "silence is golden". Holloway was doing A OK during this whole volatile situation until that interview. Hell I even put out a post stating looks like the "Same Ole' Rutgers" moniker has finally been put to bed. Usually the Administration would have done or said something idiotic at least 4 times by now.

Then the interview happened. Why? What was he hoping to achieve? Saying we want to play or not, either side alienates half or more of the fanbase, it's a no win situation. The vote is silent no one needs to know your choice. Yet he chose to make that public, his ego got in the way of common sense.

Interesting that Holloway was a member of the eight person task force. Assuming that the Yahoo reporting is correct (and I have no reason to doubt it) that task force has agreed to advance the restart proposal to the full 14 person committee. That was not a given. It is an important step to resumption of play.

Wish I could have been a fly on the wall for today's meeting. But I guess I should be careful about what I wish for. All things considered, I'd rather be a human being than a fly.
