BK-anyone-any updates on how Doorson is doing?

Shaquille has not yet been 100 percent cleared for full basketball activity. He's doing everything he can to improve his conditioning and excel at the limited work he's been able to go at.

Don't get me wrong...he's not that far away, and has been improving in leaps and bounds even during this transitional period...

Foot injuries to 7 footers are almost always complicated. It's good to hear that Shaq is progressing. IMHO, having him healthy and back to form is absolutely key to any chance for a competitive season.

Thanks BK. I am sure they are trying to get him to lose some weight, as it would take a bunch of pressure off his foot. Hope for the best.

Sa will be be serviceable, but long term I think Shaq is the better player. Who knows how he will be after his foot.

I hesitate to get overly excited about shot blockers. One second its a shot block, the millisecond later its a foul. I still think he will get his shot down and keep centers honest when guarding him outside the paint. If he has a decent shot, he will also be versatile in pick and roll situations.

Bigs take time to develop----when they get hurt that just makes the process longer.

May times you don't know what you have till the end of Year 3.

Walton, Sabonis, Yao, Ilgauskas, Good-Knight - all done in by foot injuries. I'm looking for Diallo to shoulder most of the load at center.
