BK-your assessment on season to date?

Let's see if you listened to bk in the past he would try to spin a tale about a terrible team that sounded like they were final 4 bound. So now that we have a decent team what do you expect him to say? I am sure he's pretty happy about us like every other long suffering fan.
Exactly this, we could be 3-25 and it'll sound like we got 3 all-americans on the team
That's pretty unfair to go that far, but I will say with few exceptions, Mr. Kelley chooses his words very carefully.
That is so far off base my friend. If you ever got to know BK and in seeing his posts, he is straight forward and honest. He's not going to paint a rosy picture when one does not exist. He is fair and quite frankly I look forward to his posts!!
Man we have so many basketball experts here...it's great to be among such outstanding hoops minds!
I'm the kind of guy that chooses to see positives in every negative outcome, I don't really see the problem in that approach.
For those who care (OP) I am both thrilled at the fast start but hesitant to translate it into more than it is...a bunch of wins against teams that major conference programs should beat handily.
I was happy with the effort against DePaul, as it showed we could battle on the road....I love the fact that we are handling our business and accepting coaching...and improving.
So many good things...but tempered optimism is where I'm at right now. Next 2 weeks will tell us all more.

Thanks BK. Of course, we have NOT been those kinds of teams specifically for a while. Hence my "less-tempered" optimism. Although maybe your approach is best - I remember how excited my Dad after watchjng the Clemson game with you!
We won't, but we could lose every game moving forward and it is obvious how much better this program has gotten in half a year.

So, not quite the Rutgers Al-ish response that Plum and Woody predicted. Is it possible, they really haven't paid that much attention to BK's posts? Yep. BK is certainly an optimist, but he's no RutgersAl, tossing out insane predictions or not acknowledging when the team has issues. I've always enjoyed reading his posts.
BK has always supported the team and whoever is the current coach. If he has negative thoughts, he generally keeps them to himself because he doesn't wish to harm the program by carping on a message board.

I don't know how this thread morph into an attack on BK. I personally haven't followed basketball as much until this year. I follow football because that was my background. I was just asking a question to get a better understanding of the team. Based on what I can gather BK is the man on this board and that's why I piggyback on the original question. As for Plum Street he is what he is on all the boards.
Sorry Doug you must not have read my whole post where I finished with stating bk is probably happy with the direction of this team as most of us fans are. BK confirmed that saying he likes to see the positives and has tempered optimism. Next time please read my whole post.

Wasn't taking a shot at you. I just think sometimes the tone of the statement is lost when people post on the board.
Agreed. Team is looking the best it has in years. We should all try to enjoy this and hope coach p can get this thing rolling.
