I have never met the man but I find myself continually impressed by his dedication to RU hoops. I just think he is a special type of person who more than any other fan deserves to see us succeed both on and off the court.

Because of distance, I can't attend too many games but I'm going to join the Court Club just because of BK.

Really admire and respect all that you do brother.

Brian is a real fan, great support.
Anyone who spends the amount of time we do on this board and giving to RU are "real" fans too. It's just that Brian goes above and beyond what many of us cannot or will not do. Kudos to BK. There I fixed it for you. [winking]

I have never met him either, but I used to live near him in NJ and I had bought copies of a few games on DVD (proceeds to be donated to RU). He is such a huge fan and deserves his own thread for sure!!

BK if you are reading this, thanks for all you do man!! I would also like to join the court club even though in NC!!

The guy is a great fan. I am sure he has heard the heckling and ball breaking from people in his life that aren't Rutgers fans . Heck, I think we all get that too. But to go on the road and go to all these games of a really crappy program takes dedication. If we ever win BK will be rewarded.

I have said this before and will say it again. When I turned on our game against St. Mary's in the sticks of central California on a weeknight 7 or 8 years ago and saw Brian there I knew he was my hero.

I posted this on another thread, but if we are ever fortunate to cut down a net in any tournament BK and Janet should have strands reserved for them to cut.
+1

I am glad there is more than one who feels the way I do on this topic.

Appreciate the "love" here guys...

Everytime this subject comes up, I always try to make it clear that for as much as we love being a part of what we do on the road...It's always been about making sure the kids wearing RUTGERS on their shirt know they have our support first and foremost.

The Northwestern game marked the 14 consecutive season we have attended every road game (save one @ Minnesota last year where I was very ill)...And I wouldn't want it any other way.

Love this place, love the program, and love all the young men we have seen grow up first hand. Each and every one have made us proud in their own way.

Coach Pikiell and his staff are as impressive a group as we have ever had leading this team. They will get it done, and we hope to be honored to be there when they do!

Brian, you deserve no less. It will happen.

Yup. Absolutely. Brian just takes it to a whole different level.

BK,
I am interested to what kind of reception you get from the non-ru fans you come across in life ; friends, family, work people , acquintances etc . At some point some wiseguys must break your balls and be like why the hell are you following that program?

I sat by Janet and Brian for about five years--GREAT doesn't begin to describe what a Rutgers fan they are. They may be the only people on the planet who were at Rutgers games in Mississippi and Mexico !!!

I apologize for not being more respectful to those who've taken the time to speak of me so kindly over the past couple of days here....

My father has been hospitalized and very ill since the weekend....as much as RU is like family, my FAMILY will always come first!

Good news is he's coming out of the hospital tomorrow and headed to rehab to start regaining his strength...long road back, but he's on his way
