So on my way to work this morning, this song comes on the radio, and I rarely hear it. Was it a sign of good things to come?
I burst out laughing like a maniac.

Walk along the river, sweet lullaby, it just keeps on flowing,
Don't fly, mister blue bird, I'm just walking down the road,
Early morning sunshine tell me all I need to know
You're my blue sky, you're my sunny day.

My favorite song of all time. Saw the piece of paper it was written on at the Rock and Roll Hall of fame in Cleveland. Awesome.

The way some on this board are reacting, I think this tune is more appropriate:

Why does the sun go on shining?
Why does the sea rush to shore?
Don't they know it's the end of the world?

"Blue Sky" a Dickey Betts penned tune written for his romance at the time Sandy Bluesky..who was of American Indian descent. Song is in the key of E, although the Bros sometimes played it in D. Betts/Duane Allman could really push and extend a melody. Great phrasing ...a delightful song that I've been listening to forever.
