processing a sudden, unanticipated and undesired change is not easy - often difficult to swiftly work through the situation & retain a firm grasp on your priorities - looks like Bo Melton is very adept at sorting things out in a balanced manner.

Bo's message is exactly what the doctor ordered. The class is fine. I think we're more worried about all this stuff than they are.

bo's message literally said he wavered....

You can take it a different way. He is telling this class that it is ok if they had those thoughts as a reaction because even he did. But that instead of reacting without thinking, they need to do what he did, realize all the reasons he loves Rutgers and why he committed in the first place. That is a stronger message then just saying to keep committed...

Bo, Jonathan Lewis and Micah Clark are all amazing. They never wavered. They are going to be remembered at RU like Brian Leonard, Mike Teel and Ray Rice.
This is an interesting post because of the Ray Rice mention. Kids make decisions for a variety of reasons. Sometimes they play out in different ways. Rice was going to Cuse. Coaching change prompted a decommit and move to RU. Worked out well for Rice and RU.

When major changes happen, it makes everyone have to think about it. I'm not sure if it is definition of wavering. Seems like he thought about it, internalized it and then stayed steady in his commitment.
I am sure over the course of my marriage, both she and I have had times that we had to think about it in a moment of "shit happened" but then quickly realize what each of us had in each other and it never became a point of wavering.

You get it..

I always notice that the positive threads never get as many replies.

So I am adding one more
Funny isn't it? Happens with feel good news stories. Post a link and a comment, and lucky to get 5-10 replies. A decommit happens, a coach leaves, and the tin foil hat, sky is falling crowd comes crawling out of the woodwork with proclamations of disaster. Misery loves company.
