and UConn down to their 3rd string QB due to injuries. Heck of turnaround by Diaco and UConn , and boy, can he coach defense. IMO..... a young version of.....Greg Schiano. Also from Northern NJ (Cedar Grove)

Houston is on their 2nd string qb too. They were also trailing last week 34-14 in the 4th qtr to Memphis last week and came back and won 35-34. Still early but good first half.

Also way too early for Diaco as well if you see where his wins came from thus far this year. Tulane, UCF, ECU, Army, Villanova. Wins in his last 2 against Houston Temple would be nice but even then I'd say still too early on him.

I doubt RU would be a contender anyway. UConn can outspend RU if they care to, and he probably will have better options than RU anyway.

Yeah, hard to say he's turned the team around yet looking at his wins since he took over. He has 7 wins the past 2 years including down to the wire wins vs Villanova and Stony Brook. Not impressed at all.

He took over a program that was as bad as the one Schiano took over in 2001. They are going to a Bowl game now, and may have a top 25 win after today. UConn chooses it's head coaches a bit better than RU (w the exception of PP).

Abro - I thought there was like 5 minutes left and UConn was up 20 or something. You posted this at the half, up 10-3, as such? Geeze man lol...there's still 9 to go in the 3rd quarter!

BTW if there's a defensive coach I want it's Dave Aranda which I've mentioned many times here. Wisconsin has had 5 TOs today against NW today and have only let up 7 pts off them and I think that one was inside the 20. They may let up another FG here but to me that's pretty good considering 5 TOs. Looks like defense has bailed them out all game.

What I like about him is that he's done it with big players, smaller quicker players and this year they were suppose to take a step back with so many new and young faces and statistically it's probably his best year there. Wisconsin doesn't recruit gangbusters either. Put him with a spread OC and I think it could be a very good combo.

Here are a couple articles on him that I've posted here before and another extra one.
