Boggs Looks Broken (Picture)

All this stuff is a smokescreen to get rid of him, which I agree needs to be done.

But let's face facts. If Flood was going to big time bowls and winning them, 97.7% of our fan base would be up in arms if whatever is in those reports led to a firing.

Flood is committing the biggest sin a coach can commit. It isn't trying to keep his players eligible, it isn't going incognito in Princeton, and it certainly isn't bringing thugs into the program.

It is losing. If he wasn't doing that, this board would be completely different.

Huh??? You can't watch these kids 24/7. Your kidding right. The coach is not the warden for the school he cannot say who is and who is not allowed on campus. These kids are adults they make their own decisions. This has to be one of the most nonsensical things I've read. You people are way too on board for blaming Flood for everything....you do realize there are actually some things that are out of his & his coaches control right
No you can't watch them 24 hours a day but you can restrict interaction. I had many coaches restrict interaction with certain people and restrict players from going to certain establishments. I have people in my career create the same restrictions. For you to say that this is out of a coaches control shows lack of knowledge of what actually is under their control. There is a member of every staff throughout the country whose primary responsibility is to monitor players and to make sure they are not getting into trouble criminally and to limit the interaction with "outside distractions." If it is not Flood's job someone that reports to Flood should have warned him.

I bet his ass is broken too...

When the 2nd report is released, I hope anyone who has uttered a word in support of Elmer since the summer, has the testicular fortitude to return here and own it.

If the rumors are true, this board is going to be broken, that's for sure.
It's that bad?

Agree and disagree. Arrests happen, no doubt, and I really don't blame that on flood, nor do most sane fans, however the what's, how's and why's - and flat-out insubordination - of the email fiasco, probably puahed most over the edge THANKS to his recruiting and coaching issues, and following the arrests.

None of that matters. If he was winning, fans would overlook. Happily.

Do not read this to be a support of Flood, because it is not. But all of you guys hanging your hats on "Rutgers men" and "clean program" and "doing things the right way" are never going to be happy. Because we will either be clean as a whistle and won't win very many football games, or we will win with questionable kids and player arrests like every other school that wins. Its simply a part of college football.

In fact, one of the biggest jokes going was that Flood was worthy of remaining coach because he was a nice guy doing things the right way. The object of college football is to not break the rules, and win as many games as possible. That's it. If Rutgers is going to make it harder on itself by requiring the team to only take high character high achieving academic kids, we are going to be bad.

Really... More crap. Let me guess. Flood knew the whole time and let them play. Don't tel me it's worse than that.
As for Boggs, it really just shows how bad support and not knowing right from wrong ends badly
Schiano brought in some of these hoods, you know that right?

Too bad. This guy has been doing dumb, shady shit, for a long time now (info I received in Oct 2013, and shared with quite a few on the boards whom I know personally, and trust, and not one of them have broken that trust since...). Not sure the particulars of what is, or isn't, going to come out, will contain, but I can't wait to laugh my ass off at all those who insisted, and still insist, that Flood is such a "nice guy."

Why? That's exactly my point. There is a whole cadre of posters who just can't wait to attack the "floodies" because they "knew" Flood was a shithead and people argued with them, claiming he was a good coach and a nice guy. Now they have been vindicated, and they want everyone to know it. But who really cares? Who were the original "flood is a shithead" posters and who were the original floodies? Sure there are a couple of dopes defending flood now, but it cant be worth ruining the board to attack a couple guys who are new here (possible troll) and clearly off the reservation.

Why do we need to beat it to death, to attack anonymous message board posters? Not only are we all mostly anonymous here, but no one even seems to know who these Floodies are that they are attacking. They just know that someone, somehwere, who may or may not be posting still argued with them once....maybe.

Its pointless.

thats simply not true. the university of miami won the national championship with high caliber, high achieving kids in 2001. What separated that team was a really strong senior class which policed the team itself.

We can land classes which excel in the classroom and on the field. Schiano proved that. So we have to get someone who can land that caliber of kid.

because these people were shouting down anyone that criticized Flood for the past two years. The insults flew and judgment that how miserable someone must be in real life..blah blah blah. Its not so much the people who didn't like Flood knew he was shady..thats not it at all..its the argument that someone there is such a thing as Rutgers Men and a model for recruiting high character kids. As you said, its about winning, no smoke screens about being nice. Its about winning. Arrests and bad apples always happen. Flood took a quadruple hit because his team was a disaster on the field, recruiting was shaky, his email incident and the thing that supposedly he had fans rally around him was proven to be a fraud as well

I don't think that's the problem at all.

Here is the problem.

Defenders of Flood hung their hats on "WELL AT LEAST..." and the evidence provided was he was a man of character, integrity, was doing it "right" and sought out players to do the same.

Well, fast forward to today, and there is now ample evidence (yet to be released, but enough people's sources are saying the same thing) that NOT ONLY was Flood an EPIC failure in every possible metric--recruiting, decision making, on field results, handling the media, out of touch with the fans, belligerent with his superiors--he didn't actually win any friggin games that mattered--except a bowl game against UNC. If you are going to create a culture of missed/failed drug tests, criminality off the field, looney off field love triangles resulting in fights and rampant skirting of academic rules, AT LEAST WIN SOME BALL GAMES, COACH.

I never knelt at the Altar of Schiano. But Flood has singlehandedly destroyed the infrastructure of the program Greg handed him. It's almost criminal...

Leonte, his GF and the side chick...

Not Flood...good grief. When would he have the time? What with all those papers to edit and clandestine meetings to conduct. It takes time to fix your wig and Hofstra Football jacket

a. Because they live otherwise unhappy and/or unfulfilled lives?
b. They are jerks?
c. Some people need to feel that they are right all the time and have to rub it in others' faces?
d. All of the above?

If Flood wrote the paper for the player for the Dance Appreciation class that will be the final straw for me. lol

Covering up failed drug tests could also be problematical for our AD if she was complicit with the practice.

Something tells me that we are going to learn many more of the dirty deeds of Mr Flood's HC career.

I'm predicting large amounts of faux outrage among our fanbase when that happens.

With all the sleaze that appears ready to be reported shouldn't we have won a few more effing games along the way ?
