also,
per fat cat, brandin is front and center in the Clff O recruitment and is close with his family. If we land him, he'll be a reason why.

Quick story, I'm the same age as Brandin and played against him in AAU tournaments a few times when I think he was playing for a team based out of East Orange that I think had Tony El on it too. They obviously both went to Seton Hall prep.

Rutgers men's basketball assistant coach and Pittsburgh great Brandin Knight joins @RUJON & me for Episode 39 of The Scarlet Spotlight.

Knight discusses his playing and coaching career, and details the '19-'20 Scarlet Knights squad.

The podcast drops 6 a.m. Friday (Sept. 27) on all major podcast services and at https://www.thescarletspotlight.com/.

I’m a former season ticket holder for both Syracuse and Rutgers basketball (but I didn’t attend either university). I’m actually a U. Pittsburgh graduate and remember Knight’s years at Pitt very well. I’ve seen a lot of good college basketball players, and I rank Knight among the best I’ve ever seen, not just his basketball skill, which was off-the-chart good, but an absolute will to win. I’m not sure if it was injuries, or he just didn’t have the size or the specific skill-set the NBA desires, but he was among the best ever at the college level.
