Agreed, but just hope it's not too near future for our own selfish reasons. He'll be a heckuva head coach somewhere in the near future.
Brandin made 300k in his first year as an assistant at RU. Jay Young made 230k in his first year as the HC at Fairfield.
I’m sure Brandin would like to be a HC but he’s not going to jump at the first job offered to him.

If we can just hold on to him until about 2035. Coach Pike will be 67 then and can move into the AD spot. :) :Praying::Basketball: :Hoops:He'll be a heckuva head coach somewhere in the near future.
That would be terrible. :ThumbsDownImagine SHU if Willard leaves?
I wonder if Wake Forest had any interest in Willard. That would be terrible. :ThumbsDown
Long live Willard (@shu)!
We need him to help land that 4*/5* PG we haven't had since....ever?Brandin made 300k in his first year as an assistant at RU. Jay Young made 230k in his first year as the HC at Fairfield.

Wouldn't be surprised but I think Willard is pretty solid @shu in the upper-tier of BE now. I could see a good ACC or even Big10 program lure him away. Shaheen Holloway looks like a probable shu HC in the future.I wonder if Wake Forest had any interest in Willard.
I don’t....in a way. Only because of what losing him probably meant.Well deserved. Hope we can hold him for a couple more years
Fair enough... which also would make Rutgers an even more attractive job for the next up and coming coachI don’t....in a way. Only because of what losing him probably meant.
It helps when that guy was an All American - tends to fall on deaf ears or taken personally less often.Brandin has a competitive mean streak.
He’s the coach who gets into players faces and challenges them.
Every team needs one, he’s ours
No question. It helps when that guy was an All American - tends to fall on deaf ears or taken personally less often.
Motivation for him to stick around

Me Too!!! Gulp!I’m old enough to have seen his Dad, Mel, play high school ball. It’s quite a talented family.
