Bridgewater

I'm not surprised at all having watched him play so many years. Who plays well on a gimpy leg and arm cast? Teddy B that's who. Shows how easy it is to scare teams away with weak "workouts" in helmets and sweats

Always thought he was an incredibly talented QB and predicted he'd be the best QB in the 2014 class, which I'd say has come true. Hard to teach intelligence, vision and accuracy. I think he'll end up being a great QB for years to come, barring injuries.

Bridgewater was never a gimmick or system QB. Despite the knocks the version of the BE/AAC he played in had some decent competition. It is no surprise he is doing well in the NFL. Anybody who thought Johnny Manziel was a better NFL prospect than Bridgewater is a victim of the E$pin spin machine.

I also see the other 2 QB that we played in 2013 , Blake Bortles and Carr, are now NFL QB starters.

Michigan State really knows how to develop QBs with Kirk Cousins and Brian Hoyer starters in the NFL. Their current QB Connor Cook is expected to be one of the top QB draft picks.

they are bringing him along nicely...as he adds muscle weight he will be even better.....I always thought he would do well in the NFL

Too bad he hasn't been better at coaching the Longhorns lol
They're in good hands. I just wish their fans weren't so stupid. Austin is in Texas, but it's not Houston or Dallas. They've hired a way better guy than Mack Brown. They need to give him room to operate.

I don't see any reason he won't be a good to very good NFL QB. He's accurate, and pretty conservative. He handles pressure and the physical part of the game well. All he needs is a little more experience. I like his demeanor on the field; he is a calm leader.

I also predicted he would be the best of the QBs. Also predicted that "Jonny Football" would crash and burn which has also come true. Bridgewater will be a good one.

No, Kyle flood and company took that away from you .
Exactly. No pressure the entire game on a QB that could barely move. Nothing innovative on offense after the first play. That game broke my heart. Props to Mr. Bridgewater he played with a lot of heart and earned my respect but I still cannot help feeling if GS had been the coach that year he would have found a way to get pressure on him and win the game.

He's got one more year. if he doesn't get 8 wins he's done. It's a shame to me because given time, he could get it done but the alums are already restless.

Austin is by far a more fun and sexy city to recruits than Dallas or Houston. Your argument is weird.

Has been a below .500 coach without Teddy. Look at record before and after. No evidence great coach at all and makes you appreciate Mack Brown even more. Be careful what you wish for.

Never questioned his arm - just thought, someone would have broke him in half by now.

Mack didn't leave much on the roster. He became too much of a father figure and the players wouldn't even listen to the other coaches. Remember that Strong is playing true freshmen who will get better. I don't think he's got a shot at 8 wins next year but I still think he's a good coach. Teddy was/is a great player but the UL defense was solid and that was Strong's strength.

Not only that but he and his staff became lazy recruiters. They'd have their recruiting class field a year in advances and would often miss out on late bloomers to all The Big 12 schools.

He took a new years trip to New Orleans to see Rutgers play Florida in the SUGAR BOWL away from me.

I don't care how immature I am being I will always root against that guy.

Nova really pulled it together in his senior year, but the Florida defense would have gotten pick after pick if RU went to the Sugar Bowl that year. Remember, Bridgewater was healthy in that game.

Disagree. Florida had talent but lacked heart and discipline. They were happy to trash talk and swag around the field even when losing by double digits. Bridgewater played great but Florida did not play well at all.

It didn't take long for him to start playing well in the NFL. I remember a few here that thought he wouldn't be able to play in the NFL.
Let's all calm down. Bridgewater is having a decent year, but there are many QBs that have had one or two good seasons and then faded away.

So true.

LOL. That was funny. Junior day at UT, 50 kids show up, first 20-25 that say yes, end of recruiting. Now Bamm, there are some good players in Central Texas. I like that Strong is recruiting other areas now. Still needs a QB.
